This secluded British Columbia resort is located on the upper end of the Sunshine Coast. A private balcony with view of the Strait of Georgia is featured in all accommodation. A fully equipped kitchen and dining area are included in every spacious apartment or chalet at this resort. The rustic-themed accommodation offers a separate living room. Some provide a fireplace and multiple bathrooms. Fishing on the private strip of beach is just 1 activity guests can enjoy at Resort Desolation. Lund is 7 km from this resort. The town of Powell River is a 30-minute drive away.

I loved the spacious rooms. Awesome scenery views and clean spaces. Definitely coming back to harvest oysters and clams. Very friendly staffs.

The location is stunning. Cabins are very functional and have stunning views from the spacious decks. Beds were comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay. The BBQ on the deck was a great idea, as we were unaware of the planned 12 hour power outage for the whole region during our stay.

Amazing. Location and view. Very helpful and accessible staff. Kayak, bbq, sauns, 3 and 5 hour. Tours from location. Very peaceful and quiet. Will definitely come back

“Breathtaking views of Desolation Sound”
Truly the most beautiful place with incredible views! The resort was very accommodating for our family and our 1 year old had a blast at the provincial park just down the road. The beds are super comfy, the apartment was clean and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. The resort isn’t too far from grocery stores, but definitely a good idea to stock up on some things before arriving. For being so close to Lund and Powell River it really does feel very remote. We only wish we had stayed longer!

“Stay once is not enough at all!”
Wonderful views from the rooms. You could find what you need inside. In the early morning, you don't need a alarm but the birds singing. Later afternoon, sitting in the front deck to see the sunset.
