The location and the friendliness of the staff are the main highlight of the hotel. Gate 5 of the Mayadevi temple is only a 5 min walk from the hotel. The area is very quiet and the hotel has a very homely feel to it.

Its really close to The Monestary Zone, 5-10 minutes walk. The stuff is really helpful and kind. And The food was really delicious and fresh! Really recommended!

Great location, right next to the temple complex, in the fields but right next to the shopping/restaurant area as well. Beds are comfortable and everything works. There is also air conditioning which we didn’t need, but would be very helpful when it gets hot (and it does!)

What breakfast? It was bare minimum. Nothing like mentioned in past reviews. Staff did their considering what they had to work with. Had hot water 🚿👍

Hotel Kanthak is very clean and nicely tucked away from the busy streets, and it is near to the Gate 5 entrance to Maya Dewi Temple. Breakfast was simple but tasty, freshly prepared by the staff (Yuvi, if I remembered correctly), who also made me feel well taken care of. The owner was kind and helpful, even assisting me with booking a bus ticket to Pokhara. Overall, I had a very pleasant 4 nights stay and would happily stay here again when visiting Lumbini.

The staff was very helpful and nice. I had an earlier check-in for no extra price and served me with breakfast. After the checkout one of the staff members gave me a short ride to the bus stop, which is not very far, but it was so nice to have it. They also helped me with ticket for the bus to Pokhara, the manager’s relative actually works for that bus company. The location is very near Maya Devi Temple and other attractions in Lumbini. At the same time it’s a very quiet area so I had a good sleep there.

The staff working there are super kind and helpful. When I had to go to the bus at 6am, he brought me to the busstop on the scooter. The location is just outside the town where it’s a bit more calm. The room was clean.

No friendlily had a bad experience at Hotel Kanthak in Lumbini. The staff behavior was unfriendly and unhelpful, which made the stay uncomfortable. The hotel is very overpriced for the quality of service offered. Breakfast was extremely basic—only toast and omelet—even though we paid a lot of money. The room was not cleaned properly, and there was no drinking water provided in the room. The staff also tried to sell us tours, which felt uncomfortable. After arriving, we found many cheaper and better hotels nearby. I would not stay here again and do not recommend this hotel. Please don’t go.ly and expensive

“Excellent hotel close to Lumbini's Mayadevi.”

Great newly constructed hotel situated just a stone throw's from the entrance of the Lumbini religious complex. Mayadevi is 10 minutes away on foot, no need for a tuk-tuk or a taxi. Lots of little restaurants and shops just three minutes away. The room I occupied contained 2 massive beds, a kettle, a working fan, hot water, toilet paper, toiletries and a towel. Internet connection is also provided. The staff has been very helpful and managed to prepare a delicious meal at a moment's notice. Splendid base to discover Lumbini, and extremely competitive price too.
