“Great staff and central location”

Great staff, very accomodating. Our room was ready so we were allowed to checkin early. Takeaway breakfast packs were provided when we checked out earlier than breakfast time. The hotel is a three minute walk to the railway station, and very close to the town centre. The hotel has a lounge and kitchen area that guests may use. Note that checkin is in the Amber hotel, very closeby.

“Don't stay here; maybe try its sister, the Amber Hotel ... it might be better”

Erika, the receptionist was terrific; a truly wonderful person. It is not her fault that the Naran Hotel--the very poor relation to the Amber Hotel -- was, for me, a dump. The promised breakfast is ONLY offered at the Amber Hotel (which means you have to get fully dressed in outdoor gear just to go for breakfast(!); the breakfast itself was fine, but nothing special. I wouldn't recommend the scrambled eggs (I am pretty sure they are just powdered, reconstituted eggs) or the oatmeal (it always looked dried out), but the other stuff was good. Although there was a coffee machine in both the Amber and Naran Hotels, the Amber Hotel machine was broken for days, and the Naran machine was broken for 2 of the same days. No other coffee alternatives were offered, unless you wanted to buy your own from the grocery store and make it with a kettle.

“Great hotel in Luleå”

The accommodation is conveniently located close to the main train station and on the edge of the city center, making it a practical base for exploring the city and getting around easily. The staff spoke very good English and were consistently friendly and approachable. Particularly impressive was their quick response to an issue with the bathroom light, which was repaired just two hours after it stopped working. This demonstrated a strong sense of responsibility and attentiveness to guests’ needs. Free Wi-Fi was available throughout the stay and worked reliably. Towels were provided, adding to the overall comfort and convenience. Overall, the accommodation offered a pleasant and well-managed stay with responsive service and a very convenient location.

“Ideal option in the centre of Luleå”

Good breakfast buffet with time slots to avoid overcrowding at busy times. Good location in residential area, barely 5 mins stroll from the railway station, less than 10 minutes walk into the city centre. Not much longer to the waterfront. Very useful to have the kitchen for cooking own meals.

Even for a very early checking out to catch a train at 5am, they would still provide youtm with a breakfast bag. Really lovely!

“Good location.”

Breakfast was really good and tasty. Shared kitchen was clean. Location of the hotel and parking during the wintertime were good. They tried to help all the problems as soon as possible.

The breakfast is served at a different facility but it's fantastic and varied. The location is very good, close to the main street and means of public transportation.

Breakfast was excellent, lush and large shower towels, good quality bedding. Helpful and friendly staff that helped us nicely when one of us got sick and we needed a second room. Overall a nice place, clean and simple but has most of what one needs. Good location close to busstation/trainstation.

This is more like a group of small apartments than a hotel. Very large room with a bathroom and a shared lounge and kitchen. Perfect for us as we spent most of the time out exploring in the cold. Breakfast was in a neighbouring hotel and it was excellent though always quite crowded.

Everything was really great at this stay! Special mention to Erika, who has done above and beyond for me. Other than that, the hotel is very clean and cozy and the breakfast is amazing. I recomend.

“Lack of safety”

I am writing to formally report the theft of my personal property while staying at your establishment. After checking in late, I left my bag containing valuables and personal souvenirs inside my assigned room. The following morning, I briefly left the room solely to have breakfast within the hotel premises. During this time, I did not leave the property, nor did I grant access to my room to any third party. Upon returning from breakfast, I discovered that my bag was missing. Shortly thereafter, housekeeping attempted to enter my room despite the fact that I had not checked out and was still an active guest. This raises serious concerns regarding access control, staff conduct, and overall security procedures at the hotel. Notably, I had completed a 23-day trip prior to this stay without a single incident. The theft occurred during a single overnight stay at this hotel, under circumstances where I remained entirely within the premises. This strongly suggests a failure on the part of the establishment to ensure the safety of guests’ belongings. When the matter was brought to the attention of hotel staff and ownership, no meaningful assistance was provided, and responsibility was categorically denied without investigation. Such a response is unacceptable and further undermines confidence in the hotel’s internal controls and duty of care owed to its guests. Based on the above, I consider this establishment unreliable and untrustworthy with respect to guest safety and property security.

Very comfortable with excellent breakfast, cooked and continental buffet. Only a few minutes walk from city centre. Also a guest kitchen.
