Overview
Surrounded by a large garden, Youthhostel Lugano features an outdoor pool with deckchairs and sunshades, as well as children’s playground and volleyball, badminton and table tennis facilities. It is 3 km from the centre of Lugano. The hostel rooms and dormitories are located in 3 buildings. Each room is functionally furnished and provides free WiFi access. Some rooms comprise a private bathroom, and some rooms come with a shared bathroom and toilet. A buffet breakfast is served. The common areas include a dining area with a view of the garden, a fully equipped shared kitchen, a laundry room, a TV room, and an internet corner. A vending machine with hot and cold drinks and snacks is also available. Free private parking is possible on site. The Lugano Youthhostel is in the vicinity of many restaurants, supermarkets and shops, and a post office, a bank and a pharmacy are all nearby. Lugano Train Station is 2 km away. Guests enjoy free use of all public transport in Ticino during their stay, as well as discounts on several leisure facilities. “Perfect with children to explore Lugano”
Lovely garden with different play areas for the children and a nice little pool with a slide. Also different sitting areas where you can eat. Our family room was spacious and comfortable with a bunk bed and two single beds pushed together as a double bed. The staff was lovely and very welcoming and helpful. Free car parks available.

“A great olace”
Brilliant youth hostel for families with loads of great things to do in their outdoor space, including beach volleyball, bowls, trampoline, play area, and of course the swimming pool! The kitchen facilities were nice, as was the common room and there are a few vending machines. The four-bed family bedrooms are perfectly adequate. Easily accessible by bus from central Lugano. Overall highly recommended for young families in particular.

The only downside is going to the hostel requires taking a bus from the main train station, and that requires some walking to get to the bus stop. Everything else is excellent.

The room and grounds were fantastic, and getting around on (free, frequent and air conditioned!) public transport was really easy and convenient

“Great place to stay, I will come back!”
Wonderful place with a swimming-pool and a beautiful garden. Very friendly staff. I was in dormitory, it was clean and comfortable, with storages and airco. Located at 10 min by bus from the center, with frequent buses.
