Lugano’s Hotel Ceresio is within a 5-minute walk of Lake Lugano, the university, the Quartiere Maghetti Shopping Center and Lugano’s congress centre. The Central Bus Station is a 10-minute walk away. All units at the Ceresio have a private bathroom and cable TV. Several units are made up of interconnecting rooms. Continental breakfast is served each morning. “Too Little for the cost”

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The location is good, easy to walk to the lake and close to bus stops. A ticano was provided and it was very useful

“A dull experience”
Three things were poor. First, the hotel staff leave the hotel at 2pm (pm, not am, just to be clear) and everything after that is shut down. Guests can only go in and out of a side door, and then just to their rooms, no other access to any other part of the hotel is possible. We were given instructions how to get in to our room after 2pm, and we were ok, but in 21st century Switzerland, is this normal hotel practice? I have travelled a lot in the world and and I have never stayed in a hotel that effectively closes in the afternoon. Second, please dont bother with the included breakfast, its pathetic. Finally, the "city tourist tax" added 25 euros to our bill, and if we knew about that beforehand (and Booking.com must be clearer about these additional charges when reserving) we might have chosen somewhere else.

Central location, close to the lake and all the action, cozy and comfortable bed, accesa quite ok even you don’t make until the 8pm last check in hour, breakfast could be more diversified though.

Everything was fine for a short business stay. The staff is friendly, the room is clean, everything you need is provided, and the breakfast is good enough to start the day. Price-wise it is also a good deal.
