Overview
The Colorado Hotel offers a central location in Lugano, a 5-minute walk away from the promenade on Lake Lugano and around the corner from the LAC Cultural Centre. “Amazing value for money”
Honestly...for the price, the hotel is unreal! For the location it provides the best value for money I can imagine. It was a business trip, but the hotel was that good, I would happily pay my own money to stay. What makes it so special is the staff, who do everything they can to help you. Room was comfortable and clean. Location a 15 minute walk downhill from the station - perfect!

“Great location & good breakfast”
Location is great, just some minutes walk from the train station and the center. Also the breakfast selection was very good, sweet and salty things to choose from. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. The single room was small but more than enough for a short trip. I would definitely come again. Also they arranged for my late-check in which was much appreciated. Would stay again for sure

“Very pleased that I chose Hotel Colorado for our short family holiday in Lugano.”
The staff went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable. My daughter requested a hairdryer with diffuser and they made sure to provide us one even though it is not usually supplied. The buffet breakfast was fresh and varied. The hotel even has a small restaurant offering a good selection of food during dinner time. Cleanliness is impeccable. The hotel has an older style charm which one would not experience in newer properties.

“practical stay very close to the center”
The staff was very friendly. They offered also gluten free breakfast, but I didn't book with the breakfast option. The room was clean. The walking distance to the center was 5-10 minutes and there were parking options available.

“Average 3 star hotel”
A basic 3 star hotel, older building, rooms clean and large enough, but should be updated. Hotel has good location close walking 10 min to the lake and old town. Parking is available for charge at the hotel. Bus stop right in front of the hotel.

Front counter staff were exceptionally helpful. To the extent of providing me with an adaptor when it turned out I'd been sold an adaptor back in Australia that was incompatible with Switzerland. Public transport was very convenient, as was proxmity to the train station.

This is a family-run hotel, and everyone, especially the owner, Mrs. Monica, was wonderful. However, there’s one particular detail I’d like to highlight: These days, many hotels set up fold-out beds for the third guest, thin, creaky, and uncomfortable ones that even 5-star hotels often use in the name of cost savings. In contrast, this hotel provided a clean, independent single bed for me (as the third guest) which made me feel truly comfortable and allowed to enjoy a restful vacation. For this thoughtful detail and comfort (offering a real bed instead of a noisy sofa bed) the hotel deserves special praise.

Excellent location with bus stop outside to station and centre. Staff very friendly. Room clean with good facilities. Food good.
