This hotel gives false advertising. Most of the rooms are on the basement which they called the first floor. After much discussion they agreed to put us in one of the few rooms upstairs and then next day they demanded we had to move to the basement. We left. They also state online they are near the river and that’s not the case at all. Also they claim the hotel is close to centre and it’s very far. The staff are kind nevertheless and the breakfast was at best decent. The room was spacious and clean though they put us in the front on the busy street. Also where next door there is a huge amount of garbage refuse from the building next door. I don’t recommend this place and I rarely would advise as such.

The staff were so friendly, decent breakfast and such good value for money! The reception staff couldn’t be more helpful with booking trips and making us welcome! Rooms very clean and exactly what we needed!

The service was excellent, accompdating and warm. The rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. The pool was small and very nice for my small kids to play in. the balconies were nice and comfortable.

“A pleasant stay in Luang Prabang”

We had a very pleasant stay in Luang Prabang. We communicated through WhatsApp our late check-in time so that the staff can still accommodate us when we check-in. The staff is very helpful and friendly - if you want to change USD to LAK, call for a tuktuk, ask for recommendations, the staff can help you! The location is quite far from the center, but surely the hotel is located on the quiet side of town. A bank and ATMs are just across the hotel as well as pharmacies and various food places. The breakfast will offer noodle soup of the day, bread and your choice of eggs. What made our stay in Lux memorable is that the monks pass by right in front of the hotel. We were able to experience alms giving to the monks (50,000LAK for a basket of sticky rice and some snacks), and the staff can help communicate with the locals/vendors for you. For the room, everything was neat and tidy. The AC is cool, the bathroom is clean, water pressure for both the toilet and showers are good. We were situated in the room nearest the reception, so you still could hear noises from outside, as well as footsteps from the upstairs room, but everything quieted down at around 9PM, so no problem really. The hotel also has bikes for you to use. They accept USD for payment for the hotel stay. When in doubt, you could ask Mr. Tui and Mr. Sith! Their service is beyond -- they even got our driver's number when checking out to make sure if in case we forgot anything as we were in a hurry. Surely will recommend to friends and family.
