Juan was an excellent attentive host. The breakfast was superb, in a lovely room with fabulous views over the beach and town. There was a wide selection of breakfast foods and homemade cake. The rooms were tastefully decorated. Recommended for a relaxing stay. Juan gave good recommendations for local places to eat and visit.

This is our second visit and once again we had a marvellous time. We loved how friendly and clean the hotel was. Juan and his team cannot do enough for you. You will have a wonderful time here with the amazing views and relaxing atmosphere. We also love the town of Luanco.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hilltop hotel with breathtaking ocean views. Señor Juan’s ancestral property has been transformed into an intimate, elegant retreat that is both charming and impeccably maintained. Senor Juan was an exceptional host — warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our stay perfect. Our spacious room overlooked the ocean, and the common areas and lawns also offered spectacular views. Breakfast was delicious and freshly served at our table, He serves a wonderful hot breakfast. And with only seven rooms, the hotel felt intimate and exclusive. Parking and breakfast were included, which made the experience even better. We were so captivated by the scenery on arrival that we had dinner overlooking the ocean at sunset. A final note: Senor Juan is also a fantastic baker. His orange cake is easily the best one I have come across. I would say it was outstanding! Booking.com may cap ratings at 10, but this place deserves a 20. This place is an undiscovered gem. We recommend this hotel as an undiscovered gem. We were lucky to experience it.

We were met by Juan and his lovely wife and shown around their beautiful property and made to feel very welcome. The rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable, great views of the sea. The wifi worked. The showers were great. Parking on site is safe. Breakfast was fabulous and included the breakfast of champions: cakes made by Juan, which were delicious. There are several areas for lounging, with sea views.

Juan was a charming, kind, polite, friendly and truly excellent host. His property was beautiful, immaculately clean, comfortable and a treat to stay in. Breakfast was of a very high standard, and included fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, toast, bacon, cheese, eggs etc cooked to order and even a delicious home made cake. The view from our room was amazing too. Everything we could possibly need was provided and Juan was extremely helpful with any information we required.

I hadn’t heard Luanca (let alone Finca El Palomar) until searching on this site ,but I wanted somewhere relatively quiet for a break between San Sebastián and Santiago and was attracted by the glowing reviews for Finca El Palomar. I wasn’t disappointed. The property is almost new and of the highest quality and a real credit to the host, Jean, who is totally committed to creating a great experience for his guests. Jean is very welcoming and made me (a solo traveller) feel very at welcome. His breakfast is not to missed. I highly recommend Finca El Palomar, particularly if you’re looking for something slightly off the beaten track and but still special and relaxed.

We loved everything. Juan was the most perfect host where nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed using the lounge for tea and coffee and the outdoor seating was an added bonus. The views are amazing. The walk back was a good way to walk off the delicious breakfast. We would love to stay here again.

Spent 2 nights in this lovely place, great view looking out over the sea and town and Juan is the perfect host. Breakfast was excellent, everything was super and we'd definitely recommend as a place to stay, especially good for a base for visiting around this area of Asturias.

We absolutely loved our two nights here. Everything was wonderful and could not recommend enough the experience. It is a beautiful place to stay in Luanco. This is the third time we have stayed there and all the rooms are very attractive and comfortable with lovely views. The breakfast is delicious and the breakfast room has incredible views over Luanco and the sea. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Everything was really great, a very quiet place and great views!

It has been a lovely stay at Finca El Palomar de Luanco. The house is super clean and beautiful and has a big and green garden that offers plenty comfortable seating options to enjoy the amazing view. There is free coffee, tea and cool water all day long. The city Luanco is lively and has everything you need and also the beach is nice. You can walk everywhere in 15 minutes. Thanks to Juan, the super attentive host, who made our stay even more awesome.

“A Fantastic Stay”

Juan was a marvellous host and went out of his way to make our stay memorable. As we had arrived by bus, he offered us lifts in his own car on 3 occasions to get back to the hotel from the town, and whe we left, to the bus station. He also provided a superb breakfast which included delicious home-made cakes.
