First of all, the location is perfect if you’re looking for a peaceful place with a view you normally only can dream about. The people who are working there make you feel like home and do everything what they can to make hour stay the best you could wish for. No request is to much and always done fast and with a smile on their face! I’m sure i’ll be coming hete again!

The property and rooms are absolutely stunning. But most of all, the beautiful, genuine staff who went beyond our expectations to look after us and make our stay comfortable and memorable. Nothing was a problem and they frequently checked in on us to see if there was anything we needed. They were all exceptional!

Beautiful hillside location, plants and flowers everywhere and the room was a lovely space with comfortable bed and huge bath. The staff in the resort and restaurant really went out of their way to make me feel welcome and cared for throughout my stay, so friendly and helpful. Activities, spa and yoga on site were amazing. The infinity pool was stunning and restaurant had great variety of food.

We had a wonderful stay at Maha Hills. Our spacious pool villa, with 2 large balconies, located on a little waterfall was just delightful. This resort is a beautiful, relaxing place with a great chilled atmosphere, and the staff are truly lovely, friendly and very helpful. Nothing was ever an issue. Meditation, yoga and the spa treatments all great. The food was excellent, and as pescetarians we were really pleased with the variety of options, especially with plant based food options.

It is remote, and so nice! Great for retreats! Beautiful views, hospitality, food! Breakfast is the best I have ever had! We did swimming with dolphins and waterfall trekking! Recommend both!

This was our 2nd time to stay at Maha Hills and it was every bit as wonderful as our first stay and truly reminded us why we came back. Thank you to the wonderful staff who made our stay unforgettable.

“Perfect hideaway in the north of Bali”

We stayed at Maha Hills during the 2026 rainy season (February). An incredibly beautiful hotel, situated slightly higher up with a wonderful view (e.g. from the restaurant, but also directly from our rooms). The team is very attentive and helpful. Catur, in particular, accompanied us on two excursions as our driver – she was very friendly and flexible. Catur alone would be reason enough for us to return to Maha Hills on our next holiday to Bali. But the other team members were also excellent. I took a cooking class with Tika and got some tips from him that I was happy to take home with me. The hotel has a somewhat nested structure, with various villas (some with private pools), so you always have your peace and quiet. However, you should be aware that there are a few steps at Maha Hills (due to its hillside location). Much to my wife's chagrin, we had to climb steps regularly from the rooms at the bottom to the restaurant at the top of the slope. :-) But exercise is good for you, and the view from the restaurant is great. The food was very good, both at breakfast and dinner. We stayed at three hotels in Bali during this holiday, and Maha Hills was by far the best.

The staff was absolutely amazing, we really liked Andre especially. He learned us very much about the culture and traditions. But apart from him all the staff were amazing.

We stayed at Maha Hill Resort on Bali for three days, and it was truly memorable. The view from the restaurant was absolutely stunning, and the resort’s remote location created an incredibly natural and peaceful environment. Our cabin was well equipped and looked great; we were happy with all the facilities and found little to fault. One thing to note is that there are quite a lot of stairs, so if you have mobility issues, keep that in mind. The staff was incredibly friendly and extremely helpful, adding a warm and welcoming touch. On top of that, we absolutely loved the wonderful massages and enjoyed the extra activities which made the entire experience even more special!
