The place is stunning. You can’t ask for more contact to the nature. The place is very quiet, you will only hear the birds around it. The staff is very friendly and helpful

Location was marvellous and exploring the area was great. Lots of privacy. Parking was available close to the cottage. Bird life abundant with lots of local animals seen.

While a little old fashioned, that didn't bother us. The property was clean with the exception of the dining table. Not having access to water and a cloth, the table was a bit sticky. We tried to clean with wet serviettes before eating but that was not the best solution. We had advised Margaret (host) that we would arrive 8pm-8.30 pm but there was a smash on the highway which delayed us and we phoned to let host know. Views from the property are great and my daughter loved walking in the garden exploring the statues and strong references to horses.

Lovely views from the property. Nice and quite. Beds were very comfortable. Plenty towels. Microwave easy to use. Fridge good size. There was a sauna, didn't use it Margaret our host was very pleasant.

“A wonderful stay in a very special place where you are transported back in time.”

It was like going back in time. Absolutely huge house. Beautiful old furniture and furnishings. A delightful change from all the ultra modern hotels. Margaret was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The men in our group enjoyed playing billiards on a magnificent old billiards table that Margaret allowed us to use. The queen size bed was comfortable and although the room was small, my husband and I loved the small personal conservatory attached to it. Margaret gave us an electric bbq to use so we enjoyed a lovely bbq outside on the patio. Views from the property, especially the drive up to the house were amazing.

Clean comfortable and reasonably priced, and close to the wedding venue were attending.

“We were told 1 hr before check in that they could not find our booking and no room was available”

No review as they gave our room to someone else and has been told about it 1 hr before while we were driving to the location and rang them as we were lost.

The bed was comfortable, very small but clean ensuite. The view was lovely.
