Overview
Situated in the fishing village of Loutro overlooking the Libyan Sea, Sifis is 10 metres from the beach. It features a restaurant and a café on a seafront deck. Rooms have free WiFi and furnished balconies with panoramic views of the bay. The air-conditioned rooms at the Sifis are equipped with a fridge and TV. Each has a private bathroom with shower and toiletries. Guests can taste Cretan dishes, pastries and cocktails at Café-Bistro. Scenic Loutro has whitewashed houses and traditional taverns within a 3-minute walk from the hotel. Vehicles are not allowed in the village that is only accessible by ferry from Paleochora, Sougia and Sfakia. Anopolis is 650 metres away.

“This is one of those stays you will never forget”
We were torn between the location and the warmth of Natalie and Pavlos’s welcome. It’s easily the most beautiful view I’ve ever woken up to and they made us feel incredibly at home. Arriving with my two little girls was a bit stressful but we relaxed instantly. This is a huge plus for a single parent in the digital age. This stay introduced some culture into our holidays and will definitely be a memorable one.

Simple and beautiful place to stay. But don't just stay one night its to beautiful. We had to change our dates at the last minute and nothing was a problem. Outstanding service and place to stay, so friendly. We will be back

“A good experience with a few faults.”
The location is great with a panoramic view of the village and the bay from the balcony, which is shaded in the afternoon (see photo). The room is small, as is usual in the Greek Islands, but the bed was comfortable. The bathroom and shower were better than adequate, although hot water was a little short in the morning, and the balcony door effectively shut out noise from outside. The proprietor was extremely friendly and, on our arrival on the morning ferry, arranged for our room to be cleaned first so we could check in early.

“Basic accomodation in beautiful Loutro”
The hotel is located on the quay front as you get off the ferry with a beautiful view of the whole harbour and sunrise. Perfect location for being in Loutro if nowhere else available.

“We loved Loutro and the Sifis Rooms were good value for money.”
Hosts were great. First night we had to take an alternative room due to plumbing issues. This room was quite small for 3 people. When we moved into our booked room we were much more comfortable.

“Great stay in Crete's one of the most beautiful villages”
Great hostess, gave us room upgrade without extra payment. Our studio had huge terrace with very nice sea and village views. Very quiet room even though it was right by the busiest tourist route. Air-condition without extra cost.

Great location with wonderful views overlooking Loutro Bay. We had a triple room on the corner of the building which had particularly lovely views. Owners were very friendly and welcoming. Decent sized room with very comfortable beds.

“Little piece of paradise”
The location is superb. The rooms had little balconies with nothing to see but the sea, mountain, sunrise, moonrise! Lovely comfy beds, air con and fridge. Fresh water bottles left each day. Loutro has its own shoreline beach which gets crowded sometimes the secret is to take one of the boats which travel daily like a bus to the lovely beaches or you can hike along the coast and immerse yourself in the sounds and smells of Crete - goat bells and wild thyme Thank you Natalie and Pavlos 🙏
