I loved that to my room had a balcony looking out on the beautiful bay of Loutro. I appreciated returning to a cool room with good air-conditioning in the hot weather. I received wonderful service from the delightful girls who served breakfast.

Location was spectacular, swimming was fantastic (aqua shoes advisable), amazing hikes (proper hiking gear needed as hikes are not for beginners). Wide choice of restaurants.

Loutro is a wonderful place and Porto Hotel is a perfect place to stay! The room is comfortable and furnished with great care with a beautiful style. Wonderful view on the sea. A very good breakfast enjoing the sea view! Very nice staff and owners.

The breakfast room is also the bar, and is a pretty room filled with flowers, overlooking the sea. The simple breakfast is included in the room rate, but I paid extra every day for yoghurt and fruit.

It was all the little touches that made hotel Porto Loutro such a wonderful place to stay . A very comfortable bed which is very important but not always easy to find in Crete . A proper hairdryer & diffuser to fit . Beach towels provide at no extra charge Nice size bathroom with a light over the sink & a plug ( again unusual ) A room to shower in if you’re catching a late ferry & you can keep your towel to use . Alison & her staff are delightful & professional In future when I come to Loutro this is where will stay if I am lucky enough to get a reservation.

There are many good hotels in Loutro, but few, if any, play Vivaldi at breakfast on the terrace and have a library where I found Lawrence Durrell's The Alexandria Quartet.

lovely hotel 10m from the beach. great service, lovely breakfast overlooking the bay served by very friendly staff, and then it turned into a bar for the rest of the day. room cleaned & changed every day.

The hotel is right in front of the main beach, the room was spacious, very clean, with spectacular view to the bay. I have to mention the comfy bed, it was amazing! The host was super friendly, I felt welcome. If you wish to spend a couple of relaxed days in a quiet town, this is the place to be at.
