Set amidst a lush garden, within 1.5 km from Lourdata Beach in Vlachata, the family-run Odyseas Studios has a bar-restaurant and a swimming pool. Slight difficulty finding the location initially as not obviously sign posted but called the number and quick response who advised to head to the restaurant next door for check in: The apartments are in a pink block with the pool at the front. There is no official reception or anything but we were advised to check in at the resturant next door ?they also own the apartments - Captain Zorbas. Host - Marinos, at the Captain Zorbas restaurant was super helpful and attentive. Gave lots of recommendations for the island and things to do! We arrived earlier than expected but our rooms were ready and were able to settle in and relax by the pool straight away. Pool open 7-7 and we had it to ourselves mostly, plenty of sun beds. No umbrellas for shade but trees around the pool created shade at different times of the day. Area around the pool had a few bits of tree /leaf debris but nothing that you wouldn’t expect or a problem. The rooms are exactly as pictured - basic but reliatively clean and just what we needed and expected. The beds are not the comfiest but manageable and we were not expecting 5* luxury. The towels and bedding only got changed once during our week long stay Wednesday-Wednesday so this could be an improvement. Lots of steps leading up to the apartments which was a struggle to carry a heavy suitcase up and down on move in/move out day but otherwise no problem for us however would say not a particularly accessible place if you have any disabilities making stairs hard. The bathroom was also basic as pictured. Quite small shower area with a curtain that sticks to you without fail so not great if you have sensory issues! Water also extremely hot so defo an art to perfect the temperature. Aircon was surprisingly good and easily controlled/adjusted with remote control. There is a basic kitchenette for self catering - with only basic utensils but ok to cook a basic pasta. Fridge spacious and kept water cool with small freezer compartment within.

Amazing views from our upstairs room, lovely big balcony. Good location, near to other beaches and not too far from the airport. Good food at Captain Zorbas restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely pool area, most days we had it to ourselves.

We liked the view from the balcony, the position of the villa, near super-markets and restaurants, the parking place nearby. The bed was comfortable, the room and balcony were large, the host was friendly and we could make late time check-in.
