There are just six studios in the building, all looking out to the sea, and the neighbours were friendly. The extended host family used to gather daily round a table in the shaded forecourt (by the car park) so they were often available to help or offer advice. Some even spoke quite good English. Always smiling though. The location is brilliant, right on the front and yards from two good tavernas, and the value for money really exceptional.

Location

First, the owner, Diona, is a wonderful woman, you don't need her English to understand her kindness, warm heart and her hospitality. She was bringing the clean and nice smeling towels and sheets every 2 or 3 days, ready to clean your room and take the garbage out. The house has a perfect location, right in front of the beach with the nice garden and shade for the cars. All apartments are sea oriented so you can enjoy your breakfasts or sunsets on the nice terrace. Bed was comfy, just auxiliary bed for a child of 10 was a bit small (despite that, he didn't complain). The room is not luxurious but it is pleasant and clean and has everything you need for an enjoable vacation. Overall, one nice 10 for Diona's apartment and Diona herself ♡

The studio was great, as described. Kitchenette, bed, table, kettle, soap but no shampoo nor microwave as described. Location is amazing, just on the beach, great view! the host was very nice, when I had an issue she helped immediately. Very good value for money as well!

The position free Aircon and the bed was very comfortable. Fiona was a lovely host and very friendly.

“Perfect stay with lovely Diona”

We had a wonderful stay at Diona Studios. Diona is a very kind, helpful and lovely lady. The studio has everything you need and is right on the beach. Diona has a veg garden at the front of the studios and every day her and her husband are working on their garden, she gave us some lovely cucumbers. The Lovidis restaurant next door is very good and great value. There is a good shady parking space. the balconies have sun shades that you can wind down if it gets too hot. The air conditioning worked well. We never usually visit the same place twice, but we would definitely stay at Diona Studios again. Rob & Sue Skinner

Diona is a small house with a handful of studios, facing the sea, in a quiet place right down the village. Restaurant are right at the exit of the garden (when open in high season). Parking (shadow cover) is easy in the beginning of the garden. Don't expect much english from your hosts but welcoming nevertheless. Kitchen reasonably equipped (though not much, basics are present but don't expect sophisticated cooking). Quiet spot, no cars nearby, and beach (though peebles) acress the street. Photos are very accurate. all in all very good quality/price ratio. 20min from the airport if you arrive late and don't want the hassle of driving in the island, narrow streets (with the main supermarkets lidl, etc) almost on the way.

The views were excellent, we were not pestered. Locals were friendly.

I ended up staying here when I extended my stay in Kefalonia by ten days at the very last moment. I got so lucky with this place because it ticked every box for me. Super quiet (keep in mind I was there out of season), and literally steps from the beach. Not sure how significant this point will be to you, but one of the loveliest things for me was that, for the entire 10 days I was there, I was barefoot. Literally. I would walk out of the door, down the beautiful flower-lined path to the beach just 20 meters or so away. I've since decided that barefoot living is the way forward. Basic facilities but absolutely more than enough if, like me, you're not throwing together gourmet meals. Every room has a lovely little private balcony upon which you can enjoy your morning coffee while overlooking the garden and the impossibly clear Ionian sea. If you're going in October, I'll see you there because I fully intend to spend the entire month there in future. It's a little slice of heaven.
