The pool was fantastic, the house was perfect! The host was extremely helpful even with the language barrier, she even told us about the tourist market day that happens every Tuesday in Bretenoux.

My wife and I stayed here for a week in June 2022 and were given a lovely welcome by the host who gave us a tour of the house. We were lucky enough to have some good weather during our stay so had plenty of use of the amazing outdoor swimming pool, which was beautifully clean and clear and the hosts ran the robot cleaner on the base of the pool a couple of times during our stay. In June the sun position puts the pool area in sun all day, so if you enjoy getting a tan this is the place for you! I think it would be the same across all the summer. The location is also great for exploring the local area. The river dordogne is within 1km walk and really pretty villages of Loubressac and Carrennac are within a few minutes drive from the accommodation. I’d recommend the little shop in Loubressac for pastries and bread - though the stock sells fast so be prepared to get there early in the morning! In terms of facilities at the house, there is a BBQ which we used and was great, three good sized bedrooms (one of which has its own shower and sink) with multiple beds in the upstairs bedrooms, two toilets, two showers, TV, good kitchen and enough crockery in the cupboards to invite a nearby village round for dinner! ;-) Overall, it’s a perfect place to stay with a family in a great location to explore the local attractions or just spend time by the pool in tranquility. We would love to return with our families one day. Thank you for a wonderful stay! :-)
