Posada Villa Margarita in Santa Marta, just 5 km from the Tayrona National Park, offers an on-site restaurant which features a free daily continental breakfast, a hammock-filled garden and free parking. With beautiful views of the sea, the property offers two types of rooms, dorms which have a shared bathroom with a shower and private bedrooms with a bathroom and a shower. Lovely family-run place perched on a hill overlooking the jungle and sea. Really wonderful people. Our daughters loved playing with the animals on site. The food was also very good. How about that view from the pool! And the nearby beach is magical.

Amazing hosts, had fruit and drinks ready right off the start, had masages booked right at the Villa, arranged rides once we had to depart. Just an excellent experience in every way!!⁹

It’s so beautiful, peaceful with kind hosts and lovely animals. My room was next to the beautiful swimming pool with view on the sea. It was like a little paradise. And the food was amazing !! The location was also perfect : 5 min walk to a beautiful quiet beach.

Great setting with beautiful garden and lovely surroundings. Good pool facilities, friendly staff and good food served. Also very convenient location for heading to Tayrona Park, or towards Palomino in opposite direction.

Amazing beach just 5 min walk. The sea is ruff like everywhere on that coast, so one should be very careful while going into water. The hotel garden is very nice. The owners are friendly. The food is good. It is a bit uphill, but you will be rewarded by great views they charge extra 15% for the card (but are accepting it, because some hotels dont)

“Amazing place and wondeful staff!”
I chose Villa Margarita for its multiple positive reviews and was not disappointed. First, all bedrooms are located over the top of a hill, most of them having a nice view of the sea. Second, Mila was an exceptional host; she warmly welcomed us and told us everything we needed to know. We stayed in the suite with a mountain view, which was very spacious and private, and its bathroom was immaculate. Overall we had a wonderful stay, and I will totally recommend Villa Margarita for a nice vacation surrounded by nature and close to the beach.
