We had a great stay at Cristal Tayrona. Ana and Guillermo gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home immediately. The hostel is located very close to the Tayrona national park, surrounded by forest. The view from the rooftop pool is absolutely spectacular, especially at sunset. Our room was comfortable and clean. In the morning we enjoyed a tasty breakfast on the terrace. Communication with Ana and Guillermo was great, they gave us helpful tips for the national park and kindly allowed us to leave our luggage during the park visit. We would come back anytime, thanks so much!

“Lovely”

Nice place with a very very good pool. The view was amazing and it was very well kept by the owner. The owner was also very sweet and helpful. The bus from palomino, Tayrona park and Santa Marta runs right outside the property.

Really good value for money accommodation near Tayrona, the family are lovely and wow the view from the pool is incredible, totally worth the steps to get to it. The recommended restaurant across the road is also really good 😊

“Absolutely excellent”

Excellent location, easy access to Tayrona national park. Guillermo was an excellent host, even with my limited Spanish he helped us to navigate the buses to my next destination.

The location was great and staff was very very nice. Water was leaking and they fixed it immediately. Definitely recommend.

This is just a few minutes (by bus) from the park entrance. It had incredible views... It's absolutely worth the climb up the stairs! I extended my stay by a day to enjoy it by the pool in the Hammack as I found the view nicer than the actual park. Very friendly and helpful staff. There isn't much in the way of restaurants for dinner, so you may want to bring something, or there is a small store for snacks/drinks 50m away. The room I had (at the top of the hill) was huge with strong AC.

“Excellent rooms and views at the top as long as you can climb 150 steep stairs to get there.”

The two rooms at the top have excellent views. They are modern and clean. The swimming pool was good. I think these are the only rooms at the top, so maybe you can have this area to yourself. Guillermo and Ana were very friendly and helpful.

“Hidden gem on the edge of Tayrona National Park”

The view from the hilltop swimming pool is very special, and well worth booking to experience! The hostel itself has very friendly staff, who offer to drop off / pick up for wherever you need to go for a lower price than local taxis / motos. We were quite surprised at how reasonable the price was given the beautiful location. Breakfast was lovely, and there’s also a couple of nice restaurants nearby for the evenings. Guillermo and his whole family are very welcoming, friendly and accommodating too. Perfect spot to relax for a couple of days before/after visiting Tayrona!

The owners are absolutely wonderful people who provided us with amazing recommendations for food and places to see. They drove us to the beach and suggested only amazing restaurants.

“A comfortable stay near Tayrona”

The location is great and perfect for visiting the national park. The infinity pool is a highlight - although a workout to get up there! There is AC in the rooms and WiFi, and a fridge full of drinks to purchase! There’s a great restaurant opposite the road as well that offers food. The host was incredibly helpful and friendly, always helping us to flag down a motor taxi!

Super good location, host is so lovely, breakfast is generous, host helped us with things to do. I really recommend this hostal for Tayrona very much. We were so pleased with ourselves to book this.

“Nice family owned hostal”

Very friendly family owned hostel! The family and their children are super nice and have a lot of Tipps about things to do in this area. They also showed us around. They were very kind. Breakfast was delicious as well!

Incredible breakfast, patient and kind staff

Super location close to the national park that you can easily reach by bus or motortaxi. Owners are very friendly and helpful and dropped us of at the beach. Still some work to do around the swimming pool but the view from it is very nice.

The included breakfast was ok. Eggs and fruit were good but the toast was soggy and the coffee was weak instant coffee.
