Overview
Short Stories is a new hotel experience located in the center of it all. We’re a short walk to the best shopping, dining, and museums the city has to offer. Drawing inspiration from Los Angeles’s breezy natural aesthetic, our hotel serves as a tranquil retreat in an urban core. Well appointed and thoughtfully designed, our rooms offer a comfortable place to call your own. Each room features local artwork by Kenton Nelson and custom décor creating unique, unforgettable spaces. Each of our rooms has been designed to provide you a space that feels like home. Including custom artwork and furniture, every room is outfitted with its own unique appointments. Short Stories Restaurant serves our take on California cuisine. Inspired by our nearby farmers markets, fresh, seasonal ingredients are sourced to create dishes influenced by the cultural diversity of California by way of the Far East, Latin America and the Mediterranean. While the restaurant is our most formal dining option, in true LA style, there’s no dress code or fussy requirements. The intimate dining room can fill quickly, reservations are recommended.

“My new favourite place to stay in LA because the location is perfect, rooms are big and courtyard has a lovely ambience.”
The location was absolutely perfect. So close to the Grove shopping centre, CVS and Erwhon and other supermarkets. Very central location that you can walk to a lot places. The rooms were big. The food at the bar was so incredible and the courtyard was a divine place to sit.

Cute design, very nice bar in the room (water, snacks & alcohol), books and huuuuge TV :) Walkable to some good restaurants, mall & supermarkets! If you're thinking to stay here without a car it is a good choice.

Signature Double
The Standard Double rooms are located on the second and third floor of the North Stories building. These rooms are adorned with herringbone wood floors, custom rounded wooden armoire, and Kenton Nelson artwork. Our two double size beds are carefully curated to provide a plush yet supportive sleep experience along with our very soft, 300 thread count Egyptian Cotton sheets. The spacious bathroom area features terrazzo floors, Lefroy Brooks plumbing fixtures, and designer soaps and lotions.
Signature King
Offering free WiFi, this premium room includes a flat-screen satellite TV with and a minibar The en suite bathroom features a hairdryer and free toiletries. Table for in-room dining and work.
Junior Suite King
The Junior Suite King rooms are located in the South Stories building.
