Wonderful, characterful house in delightful surroundings owned and hosted by an individual of immense distinction, charm and generosity of hospitality. Without qualification the loveliest place I have ever had the pleasure of staying in in LA. Not to mention the most comfortable bed and exquisite art deco details and furniture throughout the house, coupled with an enchanting garden of many different beautiful spaces. Pure delight on every possible score. Would have loved to have had the opportunity to stay far longer, but most grateful to have had four extravagantly perfect nights.

The rest at Sheldon's house was wonderful! It's like we're staying with relatives or old friends. The house is very cozy and beautiful, the garden around the house is like a picture! Sheldon, very responsive. I am always ready to help and answer all questions. The location of the house is very convenient, everything is within walking distance. The area is quiet and very cozy. We recommend it from the bottom of our hearts!

We stayed at Sheldon's place in this summer and still remember very nicely. House is gorgeous, it is decorated very elegant and tastefully. Room is also very comfortable and spacious. Neighbourhood is safe and nice to take a walk around as well. Sheldon was very accomodating and nice with us. Besides being helpful with very good suggestions, he was kind enough to check on us to see if we were comfortable. My only regret is not being able to enjoy the beautiful garden he has and that just adds another reason to return :)

The property was set in a stunning upmarket area which was a haven away from the chaos of LA. Sheldon was a great host and was always ready to advise us on trips in the city. I can honestly say this location was the reason our trip to LA was so enjoyable. Easy safe walking to Larchmont village for restaurants and shopping and also The Grove/Farmers Market. The house itself is stunning and very clean.

“The charm of English Tudor revival”

The accommodation has a really lovely grace and provides you with a quiet respite from the rest of LA craziness. At the same time the location is fantastic and close to a lot of the best of the city to access and explore. Our room was good equipped and had its own small bathroom. Bedding was pristine with a sleek interior around. If you are keen on astounding manors I would recommend to stay in this place and feel the warmth and comfort in the heart of LA. Many thanks to the house’s host Sheldon for a kind attitude and readiness to assist any time.

“A home away from home”

I had a brilliant time here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in LA. This was my first homestay, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but Sheldon instantly put me at ease. He is a wonderful host and knows loads about LA and so was always on hand to offer insights into places to go. I was out & about for most of my trip, but Sheldon would always be available for a chat and kindly offered to be at the other end of the phone if I had any queries during my stay. As a woman traveling alone, safety is always a top priority, but this house was very secure and in a lovely area, where I instantly felt comfortable walking around in the daytime and early evening. Even getting back at night in an Uber, I felt perfectly at ease. The house is inviting, whilst modern, and beautifully decorated. Although I didn't have time to, there is a beautiful garden with a pond to relax by and the bedroom is equally pleasant to chill out in. The bed was super comfortable, and the en suite bathroom was lovely, with there being plenty of storage space for me to unpack my clothes, toiletries etc. I'll hopefully visit LA in the future and would choose here again in a heartbeat.

A wonderful property situated in Blue Ribbon Los Angeles. Location was superb and walking distance to daily amenities. Very safe neighbourhood surrounded by other beautiful homes. My host was charming and shared his extensive knowledge of LA with all its quirks and wonderment. I’d definitely stay here again so that’s a 100% from me😊. Other bonus was safe and free on street parking- essential if you have your own vehicle.

Great little area! Perfect location between the beach, mountains, hiking trails, and restaurants. Pacific Palisades is a very high-class area. Nice people and very safe. I saw a couple of celebrities in the village. Very accurate profile description. All past reviews are accurate. Will be coming back.

Sheldon was a great host: friendly, helpful, and intelligent. The house and surrounding areas are beautiful, filed with art and antiques from around the globe. as are the grounds that surround it. Everything is well maintained. It's fun to go for walks in this beautiful tree-lined neighborhood and look at the beautiful houses and greenery.

Very nice stay in a beautiful home in the heart of LA; the bedroom and the bathroom were both very clean and spacious. Very safe neighborhood and walking distance from some good shops and restourants. Sheldon was a great host, making sure we had everything we needed and always willing to provide for some advise on the city or surrondings but also very respectful of our privacy. I'll come back if I have the occasion to visit LA again.
