Overview
The Mantra Lorne is a beachfront resort offering comfortable guest rooms and self-contained apartments. This family friendly property is located across 12 acres of gardens and onsite facilities including: restaurant and bar, conference and meeting venues, in-room dining (5-9pm daily), guest laundry, Complimentary WIFI and chrome casting and in-door heated pool & spa. Stay within the Historic Erskine House in nicely appointed classic Heritage Hotel Rooms, alternatively in the detached modern Resort Rooms or self-contained 1 or 2 Bedroom Apartments. All of the rooms include private en-suite facilities, and some apartments with private balconies or patios. All rooms outlook either towards the property, garden or ocean view. Recreation facilities include 2 synthetic and 2 grass tennis courts, croquet lawn, putting green, in-door heated pool & spa, gym, surf board and equipment hire. Mantra Lorne Resort is the only property in Lorne that has direct beach access with less than 50 meter walking distance. The resort is an ideal base for exploring the Great Ocean Road, the 12 Apostles and Erskine Falls. The property is highly rated for families, couples and people of all ages.

“Had a lovely stay, great location, great breakfasts...”
The whole premises was Non-Smoking, fantastic!!! Comfortable room with lovely outook over the tennis court and surrounds. Kind lady at reception allowed us to park undercover in front of our room. as there was an unoccupied room in our apartment block which had an allocated carpark which our room didn't, we would have to park ages away!. Great breakfasts. Good proper size hair dryer. Beach one side, shops/restaurants the other.

“Won’t bother with this place again”
We attended The Faulty Towers Experience in the “Ball Room” which was drab and boring for what the name announced, not sure if the sound was up to the company putting on the show or the Mantra but it was very difficult to hear a lot of what was going on, people’s meals were missed, cold and very boring. We thought staying at the venue would be a great idea but the price for the room given it was a long weekend was ridiculous for what we got, $350 for a very basic room was over the top even for a long weekend. It took nearly 45 mins to check in, the line of people was long, (obviously everyone decided 4pm was a good time to check in) and the staff was doing their best but seemed quite slow. The express check in option wasn’t that much better and I’m glad I didn’t know about it and paid extra for it. The bar staff were good but with extra check in time taken we missed out on half of the happy hour.
