Everything and everyone. This place is wonderful and underated. Ridge Inn exceeded my expectations. It was spacious, absolutely clean, neat and tidy. The host was amazing and took great care of me . She was so helpful, friendly and an awesome cook.

“Lovely homestay and hospitality at top of village”

Wonderful hospitality from Aunt Liao and Summer at the Ridge Inn in Pong An village. Very quiet while we were there but Auntie made great food for us. Organised our car trip to Guilin on departure safely and comfortably. Definitely recommend.

We absolutely loved our 3 nights here, probably could have stayed longer. Our room was beautiful with a balcony from where we had a nice few. The location was great right in the heart of Ping'An. The owner was friendly and weechat communication with Summer was excellent. We would highly recommend staying here. There are a few shops that sell snacks, water etc but only a few restaurants were open while we were here but we always found somewhere to eat delicious food.

My friend said it was a “5 star hotel”. They have the best shower. We loved the location as so close to the rice terraces. When we asked if we could have a balcony with our room. They allowed us to stay in the room with the balcony for the same price!!!! We were blown away by their generosity. The room with the balcony was simply “out of this world”. Thank you once again to our hosts but it was the “Aunty” who stole the show with her delightful and helpful manner!

“Perfect Ridge Inn”

The host, Mrs Lio, was very helpful. Her cooking was amazing. Mrs Lio and her daughter in law, Summer, organised a driver at short notice, every time we needed one. The driver was also great, taking us to scenic spots and suggesting places we might like to go to. The village was beautiful. I can't wait to go back.

The boss aunty is such a darling! Capable, quick on her feet, so helpful and lovely! We love coming back to her lovely home cooked meals after a day out on the slopes ((:

“Lovely stay in perfect location to explore the rice terraces”

This was a beautiful guest house in a great location in the old village. Excellent spot to stay to fully explore around. There was some amazing hiking that you can do from the village around the rice terraces. The room was comfy and clean. Great vegetarian food! Everyone was so helpful -The guesthouse organised a driver for us from Guilin train station to the village, and were also on hand to answer any questions and advice. It was an excellent stay

“Beautiful and unique hotel in authentic village”

We arrived at 1.00 am and were still welcomed very friendly by the staff. The family room is spacious with beautiful furniture that suits the building, great view! We had dinner twice and really enjoyed it, especially the stuffed tofu is delicious. Summer and her family are great hosts, Summer helped us with transport and was available for us at any time. Also, the location- on the ridge- at the end of this authentic village has to be mentioned. In the evening, with all the day tourists gone, the tranquil vibe and peace are amazing.

Beautiful location with a very nice daytime and nightime view on the rice terraces and the village. Auntie Liao is the owner of this property and she manages everything from the check in to the cooking etc. She is kind and will do whatever she can to make your journey a memorable one. Her dishes are delicious and healthy, and her homemade Longji Wine is a must try!

Ridge Inn was in a fantastic location overlooking the rice terraces. It was easy to hike up to the main viewpoints from the hotel. Plus, Summer and the staff were extremely hospitable. The food was homemade and delicious with a lot of options. They brought me extra blankets and provided me an umbrella for my hike on the rainy day. It was a fantastic stay!
