“Quirky”
Hotel was “closed” when we arrived. No one was about, some other guests let us in off the street and then we waited. It was a bit disconcerting after arriving off a long haul flight. Cosy here means tight … very tight room 😂 No lift, lots of stairs depending on where you are.

For a 1 night stay the night before our cruise, it met our expectations. It was a short Uber ride to the cruise port and there were many restaurants to choose within a close walking distance.

“Small and personal hotel”
A small and personal hotel. Close to downtown Long Beach and to public transport, easy enough to get to Los Angeles with the tram. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Water complimentary, as well as coffee's and tea in the morning.
