“Not What I Expected”

There was no mention in the ad that this was a basement suite inside a townhouse. The suite is referred to as the guest house in the ad, which I found misleading. The person who books the suite only finds out that this is a basement unit upon check in. Make note, the fee is non-refundable. There is no separate entrance. You enter through the front door of the townhouse, pass by the people who live in the house, and go downstairs to the suite. The suite has no door separating it from the upstairs, which means you have limited privacy and are privy to the sounds and especially the smells that are created in the kitchen above. The bedroom itself has no lock on the door and the kitchen table and kitchen pictured in the ad are on the upstairs level, not in the suite itself. Furthermore, the picture of the kitchen table isn't accurate. It should be modified to include the occupant of the house who was sitting there everyday from ten in the morning to ten at night. Again, make note this table is located directly above the bedroom in the basement. In summary, I found the occupants of the house to be nice people and overall they were very quiet. Unfortunately, I think this suite would be more suitable for a renter as opposed to a traveler. Thank you.
