“Exceptional and relaxing stay near Locorotondo”

Masseria Grofoleo is the most amazing and relaxing place to stay during a trip to Italy. Very conveniently located close to the city of Locorotondo you can walk to nearby wineries, and if you have a car there are many beautiful towns nearby. The masseria is extremely well appointed and Emmanuel and his team are so welcoming and attentive. We cannot wait to come back here again it was truly the best place we stayed in all of Italy.

There literally was nothing that they couldn’t do to make our stay better from collecting us after dinner in town to recommending fabulous places for lunch and dinners. Will definitely go back and spend a longer time.

“Just wonderful!”

We have just spent three very happy days at this wonderful hotel. It is set in a stunning location within walking distance of Locorotondo and yet surrounded by the peace and tranquility of the apulian countryside. At this time of year the wild flowers are a sight to behold, the fields brimming with poppies and other gorgeous blooms. We stayed in a beautiful spacious bedroom with a balcony overlooking the pretty hotel gardens with a view of Locorotondo in the distance. The room was very elegant in a beautiful simple way. Everything in the hotel has been finished to a high and stylish standard. The Grofoleo's owner, Emanuele, greeted us with a big smile and he and his team could not have done more to make us feel welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast each morning was a feast of delicious homemade goods taken in the conservatory overlooking the gardens. Emanuele organised some electric bikes for us one afternoon and suggested we explore the Aquadotto Pugliese route, a nearby cycle/footpath, a fantastic recommendation which we thoroughly enjoyed. All in all this is an amazing destination with genuine heart which we would thoroughly recommend.

“Puglia at its most beautiful”

The Masseria Grofoleo was by far the most beautiful accommodation on our trip through Puglia. We stayed in a total of four different accommodations (all four stars with top ratings), but nothing comes close to this masseria. It is super private, has a great location and the host Emmanuel is really super friendly and helpful. The grounds are fabulously beautiful and it almost feels like you have the place to yourself. Emmanuel fulfills your every wish. Another great thing is that you stay in a real trullo. If I can give other travelers a tip: save yourselves the other accommodations and rather take longer day trips to the places in the south and stay at Masseria Grofoleo instead! Absolute recommendation, we will definitely be back!

“Excellent apart from the meal in town”

Staff excellent, nothing was too much trouble, including making us a meal on the first night. Much thought has gone into the layout of the room / facilities - unlike many hotels, everything was appropriate and just worked. Garden / pool very nice, breakfast good.

The masseria is beautiful! The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s serene, peaceful and very relaxing. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The location is perfect, just a short (and picturesque) walk to the lovely Locorotondo with plenty of excellent restaurants.

We would 100% recommend staying at Masseria Grofoleo. Emmanuel and the team are the most wonderful hosts you could ask for. They are incredibly accommodating, and were always looking to check if we needed anything. Our room was so spacious and housekeeping was the best we have seen, with our bed being made at least twice a day. Incredible service. The breakfast is delicious with homemade cakes and high quality fresh fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice. So much variety! The pool area is immaculate and very relaxing. We recommend an aperol spritz by the pool! Perfect! The location is ideal with a 15 min walk into town and Locorotundo has a wide variety of restaurants and boutique shops to browse. it is very quaint and beauitful. We will definitely be back!!

What a beautiful place, run by the nicest people. Perfect location with great view on and in walking distance to Locorotondo, one of the most beautiful little villages in Puglia. Breakfast was one of the highlights every morning.

“Excellent!”

Emanuel was a superb host. My wife arrived after having a spell in an Italian hospital, quite unwell. He did everything he could for us, for example driving us into Locorotondo town so she did not have to exert herself. He also organised a gorgeous lunch for us and the grounds of his property are beautiful and relaxing. It made for an excellent few days.

Everything. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were treated with the utmost care and attention. Everything was perfect. The location is stunning especially the grounds, the accommodation, the pool area- in fact everything. There is nothing we would change and we would absolutely love to return. The view from the hotel to the old town is stunning and can be easily reached by a safe country path- maximum 15 minutes walk. The attention to detail by the owner is first class and anyone visiting this hotel will not be disappointed. We are currently in a 5 star hotel in Lecce and this hotel is an equal match!

We loved everything about our stay, it’s one of the most beautiful properties we’ve been to. Located just out of town (a very short drive or 15 min walk), the property looks back into Locorotondo- the view is stunning! Emanuel, Mariapolo, Evano and the team are welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The beds were extremely comfortable, the room was immaculate and the buffet breakfast was delicious! We loved the thoughtful touches such as pancakes with little smiley faces for the kids, and including a little surprise for the kids with the turn down service. I would highly recommend this property, and we hope to return again one day!

The rooms are lovely, cool & calming interiors & well appointed; the gardens are stunning with the view of the pretty town of Locorotondo from pool & breakfast area. Emanuel, Mariapoalo & Evano are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. We were there with family & friends & they made us feel very special.
