La Cloiserie is situated in the centre of Loches in close proximity to all the historic buildings. It is an old building beautifully restored with the added benefits of the guest rooms overlooking an inner courtyard and therefore protected from any street noise; and it has a garden which is available to guests. Our host was solicitous (there are no "staff") and anxious to ensure that we enjoyed all the benefits of a stay in Loches.

What a find! We had a fabulous one night stay here, which we booked due to its proximity to the Beauval Zoo. The building was stunning, beautifully and thoughtfully furnished. Unfortunately we had just the one night, as it really was a special place to stay. The bed was so comfortable, with lovely linen. Breakfast was served in a beautiful dining room with wonderful crockery, and the food was all homemade, including the jams and honey. I really would recommend staying here - it will enhance whatever trip you are on and will be much more memorable than a generic hotel. The town of Loches was wonderful too and we had a brilliant dinner, which was booked by our host last minute as we hadn't realised it was a bank holiday. You will not regret staying here, and I guarantee you will leave and tell people how wonderful it was... we did! I couldn't recommend this place enough. If we are ever passing through again, I would definitely book here.

Beautifully decorated rooms. The warmest of welcomes by Jean-Luc when we arrived on bikes on a super hot day, even offering to do our washing. Breakfast was fabulous on the terrace, with all local products and Jerome’s homemade treats. A very special place to stay.

The property is exquisitely furnished and has interesting artefacts in every room. Exceptional hospitality from the host who made us feel like royalty, he couldn’t have been more attentive to ensure our stay was memorable. Breakfast was fulsome and tasty, served each day on different and beautiful crockery, with a variety of homemade dishes. The bedroom and en suite bathroom were huge and very comfortable; again, tastefully designed and furnished. Ideally situated close to the centre of the town and historical buildings, we highly recommend this property.

We absolutely loved our stay here - the rooms and the whole hotel has such much character and charm. the breakfast each morning was delicious and the level of detail that went into the experience was impeccable from the homemade dishes to the table decoration. Jean-luc, the host, was extremely hospitable and made us feel very welcome. He also went above and beyond to help us book taxis for a wedding and shared recommendations of what to do in Loche. we would love to visit again!

Brilliant location with free parking. Beautiful bedroom, shower room, and dressing room, tastefully furnished. Very comfortable bed. Best of all, two very friendly and informative hosts who made our stay memorable. The breakfasts were absolutely yummy!

The coffee, deserving of a 5-star rating, perfectly complemented the morning spread. Our room was a regal haven fit for royalty. The decor is unique and quite remarkable. Amazing breakfasts with a lot of home cooked dishes. We would definitely stay here again.

“The perfect choice for a stay in Loches”

We loved everything about La Closerie St-Jacques! Our suite was decorated beautifully - a wonderfully tasteful mix of old and new, with a large and cosy bed, a separate dressing area, and a modern shower room. Jean-Luc and Jérôme are superb hosts - warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful (even going so far as to book restaurants in advance and a taxi for a wedding we were attending). The breakfasts were a real treat - freshly served and different each morning (including fruit, homemade yoghurts and tarts, honey, jam, crepes…). Every last detail had been thought about, and it was clear that a lot of care and attention has been put into the decoration and service. An exceptional stay all round.
