Overview
Typical Ticino-style Pensione Olanda is 1 km from the Madonna del Sasso pilgrimage church, and features garden and a terrace, furnished with deckchairs and offering panoramic views of Locarno and Lake Maggiore. Wi-Fi is available in the entire building for free. All rooms are functionally furnished and decorated in a warm Mediterranean character. Some units come with a private shower and shared toilets, while other units have all shared bathroom facilities. A vegetarian buffet breakfast is served. In warm and nice weather, meals can be enjoyed on the terrace. The Olanda Pensione is a 15-minute walk from the centre of Locarno and a 25-walk from Lake Maggiore. Golf Gerre Losone is 6 km away. Free private parking is possible on site.

“Perfect stay”
It's hard not to like everything here! The location is fantastic, the accommodation is super cozy with nice surf vibes, the host Davide gave us a wonderful welcome and is a fantastic cook! His breakfasts and dinner options are so tasty!! We definitely will come back here next time we visit Ticino!

“I stayed an extra night cause I just couldn’t leave.”
One of the best places I’ve stayed at. Cosy, comfortable rooms, small balcony overlooking the town, lake and hills below. Inviting and chill social areas including the big terrace with the gorgeous view, together with friendly and relaxed staff and self serve refreshments, making for easy interactions and exchanges of tips with other guests. Large selection of hiking maps for exploring the surrounding valleys. Big sink in the room and big and fresh shared shower.

Really friendly and welcoming place. Makes you feel at home. There's a bus stop right in front of the Pensione that goes to the central station, so it's really easy to go back downtown. The place was clean and the breakfast was really good ! The host was really really kind too.

“This was the ideal introduction to Switzerland”
I didn't want to leave - I could retired here and I'm only 36! I looked forward to waking up every morning to see the beautiful lake and work from the balcony. Also the breakfast, including the avocado cream on fresh white doughy bread was delicious. Thank you very much.

“The perfect introduction to Switzerland.”
Never stayed in a place with a better view. And it was so nice and quiet, and I loved walking around the hills or taking the bus into town. Also, the breakfast was delicious. I would live here if it was possible.

“A retreat on top of the city”
The location is really nice with view onto the Lago Maggiore and the terrace is lovely and comfortable. Everything in this place is unique and put together with a lot of love.

“Comfy bed, awesome breakfast”
Comfortable beds, the most amazing breakfast with many homemade treats (scrambled eggs, banana bread, jam and spreads, two kinds of pancakes, ...), spotlessly clean, super friendly owner, great atmosphere. Would stay again without hesitation.

Breathtaking views, a clean room and a delicious (and healthy) fresh breakfast:) The host prepares a variety of breakfast foods, such as fruits/bread/antipasto/pancakes which was a lovely way to start the day.

Really lovely place with many thoughtful touches. My room had a lovely view as did the terrace. The breakfast was outstanding with lots of homemade jams, dips and cake. The owner is super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

The view is amazing, the breakfast was incredible with so many nice homemade dishes. Davide & Sabrina, their little dog & cat were great hosts. There is a bus right outside the hotel that takes you into town. In the evening, it is not as frequent but still convenient.

“Paradise overlooking Locarno”
This is paradise! Beautiful view from the terrace, a very charming main house. Some rooms are in there, ours was in a little extra building. Completely peaceful and the breakfast is amazing too, most of it handmade by the hosts.

Very cute room (with a sink) and a beautiful view of the mountains and lake. Davide made the whole stay extremely pleasant, I especially loved reading out on the terrace which had an even better panoramic view. Buffet breakfast in the morning was very homely and delicious, lots of homemade goodies that I enjoyed everyday. No 3 bus made it very easy to get from the main town to the mountains, and it felt remote and quiet. Thank you for such a lovely stay!
