Located 600 metres from the waterfront at Lake Maggiore, the family-run Garni Giacometti offers rooms with antique furniture and free WiFi. It features a beautiful courtyard too. Every room at the Garni Giacometti Hotel features unique decoration and designs. Most of the rooms feature private bathroom facilities and some have a private balcony with views to a neighbouring square. Breakfast is available and in the summertime it is served in the courtyard. Garni Giacometti Hotel is located just 300 metres from Piazza Grande Square. The cable car to the Madonna del Sasso church is only 700 metres from the hotel.

This unique little hotel is located in the old part of Locano. While close to the train station, the main square, and Lago Maggiore, our room was very quiet. The historical house has been carefully renovated and is a special experience in itself. Breakfast was excellent with homemade and local treats. Most of all, we enjoyed the nice atmosphere, and the attentive and very kind host couple.

“Cute and quirky with a charming owner in a great location.”
The hotel is located in the old town near the Piazza Grande. There are plenty of restaurants and a supermarket nearby. It takes less than 15 minutes to walk to the lake or the station and the nearest bus stop is about 5 minutes away. The owner is charming and despite each of us not being fluent in the other's language we managed to communicate quite well. My room was clean and comfortable with some quirky decor and I was lucky enough to have 2 balconies. I also enjoyed the treats I found on returning to my room after a day out.

Artistic decor, relaxed vibe, the garden courtyard is lovely. Breakfast delicious, good location in Locarno within the old city. Close to nice local restaurants for dinner - excellent galleries nearby.

“A lovely weekend in Locarno”
The location is perfect right in the old city. The owner of the B&B was very kind and helpful and we had a nice time. The room had also a nice little balcony to enjoy evenings.

The communication with the hotel owner was very fluid at all times. We did not have much contact in person on-site but they were great. Location is perfect, right next to the Piazza Grande. The hotel is very cute and cosy. Very relaxing to sit on the terrace.

“Great accommodation in the old city of Locarno”
- very friendly and flexible staff, always available (Giacometti family) - very green, lots of lovely plants around - cleanliness, daily housekeeping - spacious room, with 2 balconies, the one facing the interior garden having a small table and chairs - great location, in the middle of the old city, close to everything, yet in a quiet area - late check-in possibility - Ticino Ticket, covering the whole duration of the stay and providing free access to public transport in the entire canton All in all, clean, cozy and central, good value for the money!
