Offering excellent views of Lake Maggiore, Casa Collina is set on the outskirts of Brione sopra Minusio in an elevated position. All modern apartments have access to free Wi-Fi and a shared balcony and garden. Free shuttle service from and to the train station is offered upon request. The centre of Locarno can be reached in 10 minutes by car.

Good location, views of lake and mountain are amazing.However be prepared to drive up the curvy mountain road to Apartment .Not walkable to town The sofa bed in lounge is comfortable The coffee machine and fridge with water/ ice feature is a Welcome treat

“Don‘t recommend.”
Can‘t recommend Once we booked - lured by a fairly good feedback on both Google and Booking.com - we soon learned that the host does not accept credit cards and requires a cash payment - they argued that they‘re a „family business“ (obviously lots of family business actually do accept credit cards without issues). I then email and said that I don‘t like carrying around that much cash and they responded that I could use either Twint or bank transfer. Later on (only after I entered all relevant information in Twint) I had to learn that Twint didn‘t work with them. When we arrived at the apartment, no one was there and, in contrast to what we were told, no key was there either. Coincidentally, the host arrived about 15 minutes after we arrived (but didn‘t excuse herself at all). The apartment, as we learned on the spot, is about 4 levels below the parking and there is no elevator. As we had lots of luggage we had to carry everything downstairs and up again the next morning - it would have been super helpful if this information had been provided upfront on Booking.com. Although the landlord was there, support was very limited. Upon arrival we were „greeted“ by at least 7 mosquitos in the apartment - and there were no fly screens, which made it impossible to have the windows open while the lights were on. Also, the apartment does have air fans (ventilators) in both of the bathrooms but neither of then worked (you can imagine the climate in the apartment after a shower, let alone two showers…). The apartment itself was clean but furnished lovelessly and sterile. It‘s located in a building with several other apartments. Both landlords live in the same building. Although it was mostly quiet, there was barking from a dog living in the same building on several occasions, amongst others before 8.00 am. Last but not least, check out is at 9.00, which is ridiculous. We asked for a „late“ check out at 10.
