“More of a restaurant with rooms than a boutique resort”

Great location across the road from the lake, and very close to the train station and ferry. The room was large and clean with good modern amenities including a mini fridge, coffee machine and kettle. There was a lift from the restaurant to the rooms which made it easier with luggage. The person who checked us in was friendly and helpful.

The view from the room was great. It was also very well placed for the station. The room was clean and comfortable.

Cute apartments with a lovely lake view and a perfect location for taking the train and bus for day trips. The restaurant down stairs had great food and atmosphere.

The room and common areas were clean and comfortable. Not luxurious, but exactly the kind of good resting place we needed during our trip. The train station was right next door. The noise didn’t bother us, but lighter sleepers might find it disturbing if the room faces the railway station with the “mountain view.” I think the noise probably doesn’t carry as much to the lake-facing side.

The location was very handy for the train, restaurants & the lake. The room was comfortable and the balcony was nice to sit on in the sun.

The manager was really friendly during breakfast. The view from the balcony is amazing. Very clean and spacious rooms.

Beautiful clean and comfortable apartment with exceptional views. It was close to everything, ferries, trains were just behind the apartment. We enjoyed our stay here, we found the staff very helpful. The breakfast was good too.

“A charming hotel beside Lake Maggiore.”

It’s a charming, small hotel beside Lake Maggiore. There’s on-site parking and it’s a very short walk to the centre of Locarno or to the ferry terminal to towns further afield.

The location is just perfect and the view from the room is awesome, since the Lagio Maggiore is directly in front of the hotel. Furthermore we were surprised, how good the room and bathroom were, in relation to the quite low price.

Excellent location for travelling by train, couple of minutes and also right on the lake front with amazing views. Rooms comfortable and clean with everything needed for a good night’s sleep. Fridge with refreshments provided was a nice touch. Lovely thick dressing gowns to sit on the balcony. Very friendly staff and a restaurant that served delicious, reasonably price food. Met by David for check in who arranged the tourist cards for use to get free travel around the area. David was also there every morning at breakfast to ensure everything was plentiful. Alex served us with our evening meals which the chef excellently cooked. Everyone at this hotel made us feel as part of their family and it was a lovely place. If you’re planning a trip to Lake Maggiore this is an ideal base base.

Location was fantastic for us - between the station and lake, 1 minute from the station platform. Manager was very helpful and we were able to have an early breakfast as we were leaving early. Breakfast was good and plentiful with excellent coffee.
