“Perfect for surfers”

The location is amazing, walking distance to the main surf break. The surfboards available for hire at the property are amazing- great condition, various shapes and sizes for all surfing levels and different surf conditions. The beds are super comfortable. It’s a very restful calm and safe place - the house is very quiet at night as everyone tends to sleep early and rise early to maximise surf time. It’s a spacious with few guests so it feels private but also has a nice family atmosphere. The stretch/yoga/workout room is a nice addition. This place is perfect for wholesome surfers travelling solo.

“Best hostel ever!”

We have been travelling for 6 months and this was by far the most awesome place we stayed. Jerry is so friendly and helpful and knows so much about surfing. He has great kit and boards, wonderful cats and dogs and a clean and homely hostel with a beautiful view of the beach. We felt so at home for our stay. It just doesn’t get better than this! The best location, with the most incredible view and sunsets. But better yet is Jerry, the owner, who has created such a warm and welcoming environment. The dogs, Grico, Una and Ocho and cat Kato are the best too! Cannot recommend staying here enough!!

I loved everything there. The postion of the hostel is perfect to watch all the beaches and the waves. Our room had a beautiful view. We could easily get everything we need for surfing (boards, wetsuit, classes). But the best is the owner (Jerry). He is super helpful, caring and funny. He helpt us with everything and he makes you feel like home. We spend only one week but with the people there it directly felt super familiar. The hostel has space for yoga and the internet is good for working. I also liked the full equipped kitchen. It was perfect. We will come back!

Incredible stay at Tayta Surf House! I initially booked for 2 nights but ended up extending to almost 2 weeks - it was that good. Jerry, the owner, is an exceptional host - welcoming, friendly, and always ready for great conversations. The location is unbeatable, with stunning views of the surf break right from my room. I could easily check the waves and be on the beach in minutes. The house itself is beautiful and modern, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Surfing with Jerry was a highlight, and his local knowledge was invaluable. The company of his two dogs, Ocho and Una, and three cats added a homey touch to the experience. Tayta Surf House is more than just accommodation; it's a perfect blend of comfort, location, and community. Whether you're a surfer or just looking for a beachfront getaway, this place is a gem in Lobitos. I'll definitely be back!

Great place, great host and great people! The hostel is situated on a hilltop overlooking the ocean with stunning views and just a 2min walk to the beach. There's 2 surf schools nearby and yummy dinning options 5min into town. Amazing logistics for people looking to surf and chill by the beach. Jerry was an awesome host and the Tayta Surf House is truely a gem where good vibes and cool people mingle - highly recommended!

Absolutely loved my stay here. I originally booked two nights and ended up staying for the week! It’s a house that feels like home and has the best view of all the surf spots. Jerry is a great host with a wealth of knowledge to share, especially if you’re wondering where the best spot to surf is or how to get there. I hope to be back soon!

“Surf Dream Vacation”

We had a wonderful stay. Really blew our expectations. Tayta‘s rooms are so modern, minimalistic and beautiful we loved it. We woke up and looked at the waves, got some breakfast and ran to the beach which was like 4 minutes away. The living room is so chill, you can work and hang out there. The two dogs are cute and the WiFi amazing. It is absolutely worth it and I would recommend it to my friends. Like really I would tell them don’t look somewhere else choose Tayta! PS.: Jerry was an amazing host. From giving us recommendations, making us feel at home, having great and deep conversations and helping us out when we really needed help. Forever grateful!

“Shared home in a great house in one of the best locations in Lobitos”

Great house, social living room, small yoga/training room, big shared kitchen and great view over the bay. One of the few places in town where you can see all three surf breaks (and right up from the main one). Also good to make some animal friends :) great comfort and all you need + Jerry as a sweet host!

“Unfairly Superb”

I’ve been traveling for 11 years and this is by far the coolest place & host I’ve ever encountered. Aside from the fact that Tayta has the best view in Lobito’s and the house is absolutely gorgeous, Tayta is the best host ever. He went above and beyond to help me and my buddy with everything we needed, and he did with the greatest smile and attitude. Most hosts just act kind because they want to get a good review, but Tayta is a kind person to everyone around. So many people in town look up to him and he does a lot for the community. Such a gem of a human being and I am now proud to call him a friend! I had a hard time leaving.

It really is the best view in Lobitos! Jerry is a great host and very helpful, the house itself is very clean and modern and has a cool vibe. The rooms with balcony are looking directly at the surf spot and you have an amazing view across the whole bay. I spend a lot of time on that balcony and watched some amazing sunsets 🌅. To get to the spot you can quickly walk down a small path, it's very close. The WIFI is quite good and I was able to do some remote work. I hope to be back some day (hopefully with better waves 🙂).
