“Would not stay there again!”

There was very little that I liked about my stay at the Royal Hotel. "Booking.com" had indicated that this hotel had a rating of 8 out of 10. How did this hotel receive such a high rating? I found that the hotel itself was very seedy and scruffy. I was concerned that my car would be broken into while I slept. There were signs stating that guests need to be careful as to what was left in their car. Due to the state of the building itself, the unsafe location and the type of clientele that were staying at this Hotel, the Royal Hotel shouldn't receive a rating any higher then 6.

My stay was great. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. My room was clean, comfy.

As mentioned in my other review, it was amazing. We slept here and then actually went back for another night. Everyone was helpful and friendly and everything was very neat and clean. And the pillows were super comfy! Best hotel pillows ever! Wish I could take them home with me 😂

“Our new favorite hotel”

The whole experience was amazing! We slept there one night, then actually went back for another night knowing how good it was. They had a kettle! Most hotels now just have a coffee machine. They actually had both. So I could actually have some tea. We also got a complimentary breakfast bag which wasn't expected. The staff are amazing, helpful and friendly. The cost was cheap and the place was clean and neat and even older, kept in great condition.

The front staff were fabulous, friendly, welcoming and overall great at their job. Such clean rooms, comfy beds, comfy pillows.The bagged snack pack given in the morning was an awesome idea. Great price and value. Thanks Royal Hotel

Chip crumbs on the stairs - not cleaned up even though we told reception.

“Basic, clean hotel for a decent price.”

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Good lighting on both side of the bed so we could each read. Hotel was on a busy highway , but so we're all the other hotels. Price was decent. Breakfast was a "paper bag " breakfast. We had to heat the breakfast sandwich in our microwave. It was okay, not great. We were given choices to submit the night before. Hotel was 100 per cent booked , with evacuees from wildfires from northern Saskatchewan wildfires, but not noisy.

It was a nice, quiet hotel. The staff were excellent, the rooms were clean and comfortable

staff was friendly, waitresses were excellent. And food was good in a good value.

The bed was terrible! Hard as a rock.
