Maria is a very warm and gentle host. She made us feel at home from the very beginning. She gave us local tips for the many wonderful places to visit around Kerkini. She connected us with a knowledgeable guide for our sunrise birdwatching boating adventures, and allowed us to join the delicious breakfast late after our trips. She helped us wash our clothes when we ran out of clean ones to wear. The views from the place were simply breathtaking and we loved the location.

The rooms are spacious with terraces. Some of them with a lake view. The breakfast is wonderful.

I stayed here for a solo birdwatching weekend before heading to a meeting in Thessaloniki, and it was the perfect choice. My room was impressively large and fully equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Truly sensational breakfast: every morning featured an abundant spread of homemade treats that kept me fueled for hours of exploring. The host went above and beyond, providing excellent, detailed recommendations on the best local spots to eat and the most scenic places to visit around the lake. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a warm, authentic stay in the area!

“We enjoyed the stay as the attitude of the owners and especially the cruise fulfilled our purpose.”

The property is a guest house with previous decades’ furniture located close to the water front and the tavernas moving around is by car, the owners are very polite and helpful and try to make the best for their guests. The breakfast was good and no restrictions to quantities etc. For one night or two it adequate as you spend very little indoors. The owners introduced us to Nick a boat owners which was the highlight of our stay as Nick has a very good command of the English knowledge as well as knowing the wild life birds etc. very well which made the one and a half hours boat ride in the lake worth its money.

The place is next to the lake Kerkini ,family managed which means that they really care about their customers. They happily changed our stay ( for two days later) after informing them that we had a small car accident .

Exceptional hospitality, absolutely impeccable room - clean, warm, and spacious with a beautiful view of the lake. There is central heating that was on, but also AC available, the bathroom was big enough, the bed was nice and comfy. Breakfast was substantial and very delicious too - including Greek homemade pastries with cheese filling 😋 The hostess was really generous and kept preparing fresh toasts, pancakes and those traditional Greek dough and cheese pastries that unfortunately we don’t know the name of. The house is within walking distance from the port where you can get on a boat ride on the lake. We had an amazing time and we definitely will come back again!

It's the second time that we have stayed at this lovely guesthouse, and it was a great experience again! The host is so welcoming, and the breakfast is so tasty. They have a super-charming old dog and rooms that look over the beautiful Kerkini lake.
