“Terrific Tulips”

A very warm welcome. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. A good variety of food was available for breakfast. We ate Di ner two evenings in the restaurant and the food was very good. The service was impeccable and a staff were so friendly and helpful. Location was excellent. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Location was a perfect location. So easy on the buses to get there and a stop outside the hotel. Easy access to keukenhof and lots of other places nearby on bus and train from Leiden.

The staff were exceptional! Very welcoming and we were given a welcome drink in the bar. We were given plenty of advice on where to see the tulips. We chose to walk to Keukenhof, it’s not a short walk but there were some beautiful tulip fields to see on the way. The food in the restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced.

Quiet & clean room, hotel was easily accessible by public transportation and conveniently located for visiting Keukenhof. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, breakfast was nice and dinner was great.

Hotel was easy to find and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was of ample size, was clean, and offered a good amount of cupboard/storage space. The bathroom was clean and provided everything which was required.

The staff is very friendly and attentive, the rooms are simple but comfortable. pleasant atmosphere and quiet location, very close to the tulip garden.

“Elderly people: avoid rooms 1-4”

Spent two nights for Keukenhof visit. Reached the hotel with bus 361 leaving from dock D16 from Schiphol. It took 45 min. for 8 euros. The bus stops in front of the hotel. To reach Keukenhof from the hotel one can use bus 250 or 361 and ask the driver to advise the closest stop. It takes 20 min. for 4 euros. The hotel is nothing fancy, do not expect high architecture or decoration, simply it is a well functioning and clean hotel. Our room was 1, it was above the resto and had no counter fire system. We had to reach that room through a steep iron staircase, so rooms 1-4 are not recommended for elderly people with mobility problems or with big luggage. The breakfast was very basic but the dinner was exquisite. We got dinner twice, huge dishes, good tastes and prices rather cheap for the average Holland restos. Staff friendly and efficient. Surroundings with fields filled with hyacinths,narcissus, tulips etc in full blossom were marvelous. As for the price, I would say that 150 euros b+b in the peak season instead of 180 euros charged would be indeed value for money. Recommended? It depends on your pocket.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff and great service. Room was clean and comfortable and very quiet at night. The restaurant serviced good food and was child friendly as well as a nice place dining with family or friends. Loved the traditional bar area, was cosy and friendly. Great parking too!

“A lovely stay in this delightful family-run hotel”

We chose the hotel on its proximity to Keukenhof; this worked perfectly. On arrival, we received a very warm welcome. This level of kindness and friendliness was maintained throughout all aspects of our stay. As a couple in our mid 60s, we had booked Room 11, the 'family room', because we like to have somewhere to sit (that is not on the bed). It was a spacious, comfortable, quiet room (that looked out over gardens and houses, rather than the road), and the large bed ensured we had two excellent nights' sleep. Previous reviews had made me anxious when they described two flights of spiral stairs, but this building, which houses rooms 5-11, is simply a traditional house that has been converted, so we are talking about a staircase in a typical hose, with a couple of turns on each floor and intervening landings. It will not present a problem unless you have a ridiculous amount of large luggage! Breakfast was very good, with lots of choice, both hot and cold, and no problem with asking for refills. We had lunch in the restaurant the day we arrived, as well as two evening meals, all of which were delicious and represented very good value. We appreciated the recommendations from the staff, both places to visit and things to try. All and all, we had a lovely stay in this delightful family-run hotel.

It was perfect for going to Keukenhof and the property was perfect for visiting with my mum who is 85 and limited mobility. Had a lovely ground floor room, very comfy beds and very roomy.

Check in is organised in restaurant, but there is no information about it.
