Overview
The Shalai is set in the historic centre of Linguaglossa, a nice Sicilian village within easy reach of Catania and Mount Etna. Rooms here offer soft colours, warm lights and natural textiles. The Shalai's rooms are also air-conditioned and some boast frescoed walls. Treatments and massages are available in the Shalai's wellness centre. The on site restaurant serves Sicilian specialities. Free parking is available upon reservation at Shalai. At reception you can book excursions on jeeps, quads, mountain bikes and riding donkeys. The staff can also arrange a shuttle transfer to/from Catania Fontanarossa Airport, upon request and at extra costs.

“Beautiful boutique hotel”
This hotel was perfect, the facility itself is beautiful and modern while keeping the character of a vintage hotel. The room was small but well laid out and clean. The staff were all lovely, and the breakfast was the best I've ever had a hotel anywhere.

The service is excellent, the warm atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The restaurant Michelin star is fantastic. The mattress is very comfortable, and the location is great, especially for food lovers it’s a real gem!

Great room in junior suite. Make you feel special. Restaurant and food in general is spectacular. Beautiful place to spend a romantic night before or after go to Etna.

“Loved our stay here.”
Staff were super friendly, helpful and attentive. Took a real interest in our stay, arranged excursions and taxis. Luigui especially. The somelliers really knew their stuff. The Michelin star restaurant was amazing and the spa and massage was fantastic.

Very well designed small hotel. Modern, premium feel. Most of the staff were excellent. The breakfast was exceptionally good as were the staff in the restaurant. Location is good in town centre.

“It was a very calm base for a our stay in the Etna region. Two very good restaurants in the town.”
