“Rude, arrogant manager, refuses to accept responsibility for mistakes.”
Things started out well - I dropped an email saying we'd be in town earlier, and was kindly offered early check-in. Alfio, the manager, did provide a free breakfast on our last morning due to some of the problems (we think - it just turned up at our room unannounced) but it arrived as we were packing and waiting for our taxi and we were not able to enjoy it at all. Too little, too late.

“All in all, there’s a charming vibe, but it didn’t live up to my expectations and wasn’t good value for money”
The location of the hotel is wonderful since you can do tours to Etna and other cities such as Taormina nearby. The hotel is charming, has a pool and you can really calm down in this quiet little town. The breakfast in the garden was lovely though I personally believe too expensive for what it was.

“A real experience”
We stayed in one of the main rooms in the palazzo and loved it - the property is stunning and has so much character and we've been recommending it to people back home. They very kindly gifted us a bottle of wine because we were on our honeymoon, which was a really thoughtful gesture. We also loved Linguaglossa and the foothills of Etna more widely too - the local pizzeria down the road was excellent and CaveOx a short drive away was possibly the best restaurant we went to in Sicily.

“Stunning location near to Etna”
It was a charming self contained ‘cottage’ set within stunning grounds which we were told was on old quarry from which volcanic rock was taken. The gardens had been created from this and it was beautiful, full of plants, flowers, fruit trees, vegetable patches etc. Every corner you turned there was a new surprise. Our cottage was reached under a bower of gorgeous scented roses. All the properties looked part of the setting and were far enough away from each other to feel very private. While the facilities weren’t luxurious everything necessary for a comfortable stay was provided and the house was in keeping with the surroundings. Alfio gave us a warm welcome and a tour of the site. It is clear that they are very passionate about what they do. Recycling is encouraged and we were offered a tour of the rest of the property which is a museum. The pool was a welcome place to relax and had a fantastic view of Etna. Linguaglossa itself is fairly quiet but everyone was very friendly. Only a 20 minute drive from the main meet point for Etna trips . We had a lovely relaxing stay. If you love somewhere set in beautiful natural surroundings this is the place to come. Thank you for a wonderful time

“Fantastic place, full of quirkiness and interest.”
The welcome from Alfio and the rest of the team was amazing. The room was comfy and spacious. We had breakfast on a couple of mornings, one in the main kitchen and one in the garden. Garden was huge and very beautiful. The whole place was full of history and interesting things to look at and discover. Amazing decor and the view of Mount Etna from the small kitchen and garden was super. Especially on the night she erupted! The chef's table meal in the new hotel restaurant was awesome, it's newly launched and we felt very special having the whole night to ourselves! With lots of ingredients picked from the garden it was truly a unique experience. We also had dinner on a second night as being easter a lot of restaurants in the town had closed but the 'simple pasta' was out of this world!

“Quite overpriced for what it is”
Certain charm as it’s a small B&B with individual rooms with big garden. Equipment is quite basic. The bed is old and mattress + pillows feel cheap. The majority of photos you see are from individual rooms, not common areas. The common areas are kept very basic. While we were there they didn’t offer breakfast which we weren’t informed of prior to our arrival/booking.

“Volcanic views and incredible interiors”
Palazzo Previtera is a wonderful, historic spot from which to explore Etna and the surrounding areas. On clear days, you’re treated to spectacular views of the volcano itself from the terrace. Inside, it’s an Aladdin’s cave of antique furniture, wonderful artwork and an assortment of curios from the Palazzo’s rich history and further afield. We were staying during winter and, despite being a period property, it was lovely and cosy throughout our stay. Everywhere was immaculately clean; the beds were really comfortable; and the bed linen, towels and toiletries were all of a really high quality.

“Strongly recommended for a visit of the Etna region, away from the touristic hassles of Taormina”
P Previtera is a very special place, with all the charm of a palazzo with a full history and located in an interesting Etna town, surrounded by a beautiful garden. It is family owned, and the family pride shows especially when taking the interesting tour in the historic building / museum. Great staff ! Excellent recommendations for things to do, food, wine, etc.

“A beautiful house and gardens in a nice town”
The place was amazing. They have recently installed a beautiful infinity type pool in the gardens; we were unaware on arrival so a nice surprise. A morning dip with fantastic views of Mt Etna. The first morning we drove to Mt Etna National Park and joined a tour. Day 2 we organized breakfast in the garden- very private.

“A lovely residence and a good base for travelling around Etna.”
The main residence is just beautiful. Due to our timings though, we really didn't get a chance to have a good look around before we needed to check out. I would love to stay for longer next time around.
