“Mold covering ceiling, walls, windows throughout the house.”

We checked in to the property and initially used the shower. Shortly after, we noticed extensive visible mold covering large areas of the kitchen ceiling and walls, as well as parts of the living room ceiling. We immediately contacted the host to inform her of the issue. The host stated that the mold had just appeared. However, the amount and spread of visible mold indicated it was not a recent development. Given the extent of the mold and concerns about health and safety, we did not feel comfortable staying in the property and left that same night, which required us to find alternative accommodation late in the evening. The following day, we requested a refund due to the condition of the property. The host declined, stating that because we had used the shower, a refund would not be provided. Booking.com customer service became involved, but the refund was still refused. We are sharing this to inform future guests about the condition of the property at the time of our stay and to understand the condition of the property. Photos have been uploaded for reference.
