An excellent hotel with incredibly kind and welcoming owners who truly care about their guests. The views of the rice fields are absolutely beautiful and create a unique, peaceful atmosphere. It’s a perfect place for anyone looking for silence, relaxation, and a complete escape from the busy life. The surroundings are stunning, and waking up to such scenery is a real pleasure. The owners are amazingly helpful and always ready to assist with anything you need, making the stay even more comfortable and stress-free. This place feels more like a home than a hotel, and we would happily come back again.

An amazing find. Spectacular location with incredible views over the valley. Hosts Kasun & Chathu were fabulous- went out of their way to help us with so many things. Amazing hospitality and Chathu a wonderful cook. The house and rooms are luxurious.

I recently stayed at Citadel Lindula in Sri Lanka, and it was the perfect retreat after two weeks of traveling through India and Sri Lanka. The villa’s location, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views, offered a serene and peaceful escape. The hospitality was outstanding, with the warm hospitality of Kasun and Chathushani going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The food was exceptional, made with organic ingredients sourced directly from their own garden, delivering fresh and flavorful meals that were truly memorable. Waking up to the beauty of the mountains every morning was an experience I’ll never forget. A few things to note for future travelers: The road leading up to the villa has quite a few potholes; it’s better to take a tuk-tuk instead of driving a regular car. Currently, they don’t have a credit card machine and don’t accept payment via Booking.com, even if you’ve provided your card details there — so best to bring cash or arrange alternative payment in advance. Despite these small inconveniences, I highly recommend Citadel Lindula to anyone looking for a quiet, rejuvenating escape in the heart of Sri Lanka’s hill country. It’s a hidden gem I’ll never forget.

The room standard is higher than in any other location we've stayed in Sri Lanka. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The house is very well-maintained, offering exceptional views of the surrounding area. The food was wonderful, and we had a very relaxing stay. It's a great base for exploring the region.

“Outstanding hotel”

The room cleanliness and the bed comfort with clean sheets. All rooms have balconies with sitting area and mountains view. All rooms have a private bathroom and shower with water heater. The gentleman and his wife working there were very kind and helpful and will facilitate your stay. The food portions they served are enough for at least 2 people. The morning herbal soup is refreshing, and the dhal curry is the tasties I've ever had. Mostly, I enjoyed the view of the mountains and the tea gardens with the birds chirping in the morning. No room has AC, but you can always open the balconies doors and let the cold, fresh breeze circulate in. Temperature at night reaches 15 deg C.

Beautiful views, surrounding gardens with beautiful flowers and home grown veg, tea plantations, beautiful man a wife that managed the hotel and made us delicious food and looked after us. The beautiful views combined with the beautiful music they played made me cry one morning!
