“Lillehammer gem”

The breakfast was very good indeed, the best we had on our trip to Norway. The hotel was in a great location, close to local attractions.

- Our 2 kids enjoyed the (free) pool. The sauna was also nice. - The staff was friendly - The Hotel is located at 20 min walk of the city centre which was doable for us - The breakfast was nice and our kids loved the pancakes and the waffle machine

Huge hotel with all the facilities, nice areas for socialising in the evening around lobby.

Would recommend a security guard because when I was staying there was an argument /fight between people and reaction was slow , it’s just for saggers and respect of others peace 😁

“Best hotel for skiers in Lillehammer”

Close to centre of Lillehammer, plenty of free parking, good sized rooms. Staff all friendly and helpful. We used the pool and sauna every evening after skiing, the only issue being the pool was always full of small children between 6pm to 7pm so couldn’t swim lengths.Not really the hotels fault though. Breakfast was an amazing spread, very good quality food. Evening menu was fairly limited but everything we had was very decent. Check-in was from 4pm, which was a bit restrictive, but equally check-out was 1200 which was helpful. Overall hard to beat this hotel for quality and price.

The hotel itself changed my reservation and sent me to another hotel. They didn't issue an invoice after several requests. The service was outrageous. I will never return there and I don't recommend it to anyone.

We arrived at the hotel on December 24th, Christmas Eve, with a full program that had been sent to us in advance by the hotel itself. Upon arrival, we were informed that the schedule we had received was incorrect and that the program would actually start one hour later. That, by itself, was not a big issue. However, before making the reservation, I specifically asked whether the hotel’s Santa Claus would give presents to the children or if parents should bring gifts. I was clearly informed that the hotel would provide the presents for the children and that it was not recommended to bring gifts from outside. Because of this, I did not bring any presents for my children, especially since we were traveling from Ireland and thought it was great not to have to carry gifts. When we arrived at the Santa Claus event, what was actually happening was that families were handing over their own presents for Santa to give to their children. I spoke to the restaurant manager, who told me there was nothing he could do and that the practice of the hotel giving presents no longer existed. I then asked what I was supposed to do about my children. They are very young and did not deserve to go through this situation. The only response I received was “sorry for the inconvenience.

We have never experienced such arrogant staff. From: "Oh, there's a guest, I'll have to do something," to the waiter, "Women are served, men aren't," and the exorbitant prices for food. We visited this hotel three times: the first, only, and last time!
