A perfect beachfront bed&breakfast place to stay in Lierna. Easy check-in. Marco and his wife are very kind and helpful hosts, breakfast is made from local products with care&hospitality. Do not miss to choose the rabbit dish for a nice dinner on the terrace! I'm serious :-) This side of the lake has a very good railway service. Lierna station is a 15' walk from the house.

“Stunning beauty and great food”

Superb location. Right on the lake. Views of the lake from our bedroom window and balcony. Marco and his partner Chiara were amazing hosts and excellent chefs! It’s a quiet part of the lake too but is easy to get to the bigger more lively towns.

“Fabulous hosts fabulous setting”

The incredible personal service from our hosts Chiara and Marco. The food and drink were marvellous, freshly prepared every day with a surprise for breakfast and a generous limoncello nightcap. The attention to detail with everything from the room to the balcony setting at dinner was second to none. Marco even picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. We will return very soon. Also the setting of mountain and lake is stunning and restorative.

“Great stay on Lake Como”

Everything was as expected from the description. The room was air conditioned and although the road was between the room and the mountain view it wasn't noisy. Our hosts were entertaining and very helpful. Breakfast on the terrace was varied and excellent. The beach and pool were great. Overall an excellent stay.

We loved the flexibility of our stay here. We were made extremely welcome by our hosts, and the room had everything we needed or wanted. The location was spectacularly beautiful and the food was excellently home cooked, tasty and very plentiful. The honesty fridge was very reasonably priced and had a good choice of beverage too. We chose a lovely bottle of wine to have with our dinner which was inexpensive and great quality. The room was clean, fresh and well serviced. The air conditioning worked incredibly well. We loved the fact that the beach was in front of the property and you could swim in the lake or alternatively in the pool too.

Wow What a stay! Our first visit to the Italian. On arrival at Foresteria lombarda La Spiaggia, we were met at the gate by Marco our host who guided us to our car park in the secure basement below the apartments. Marco was the perfect host along with his wife Chiara. We were shown into our room, which was a good size with a superb view of Lake Como and the opposite shoreline looking along to Bellagio. We were then offered a drink on the shared balcony that we, along with any other guests would share and dine on ( with the same beautiful view of the lake. We would later be joined by a lovely couple Reinholt and Nicole from Germany. Typically we are not in favour of this arrangement, but Marco just made everyone so welcome we loved it. Chiara provided the meals which needed to be pre ordered after breakfast so that the supplies could be bought fresh. The first nights dinner of steak was so good, we had dinner each night on the balcony. Marco would give any advice on getting around the area with trains and ferry (to Bellagio and other Como localities) which made it so easy for us. The weather was not brilliant during our stay with heavy thunderstorms, but rather than spoil our stay, added to it. If ever you need a quiet relaxing stay, with superb view and a host who cannot do enough for you, then this is it. I didn't even mention finishing dinner with a couple of glasses of Chiara's home made Limoncello! Thank you Marco and Chiara!

Everything was beyond expectations. The accomodation is amazing, clean and really well presented. Great location and Marco and Chiara are fantastic hosts. Food is delicious, Chiara's cooking is exceptional and breakfast was a delight every morning.

The room was comfortable and clean. The location is stunning, right on the lake with a little beach area directly in front of the property and a short drive into the nearest town. You also have some beautiful mountains around the back. The hosts were absolutely incredible and they made our stay! Their food is easily the best Italian food we've ever had anywhere! We would make back for that alone 😍. Overall wonderful experience, thank you so much Marco👌🏾

“Perfect!”

Marco and his wife were incredibly welcoming hosts who made us feel at home from the moment we arrived and provided everything they could to make us comfortable. Our room was spotless and well looked after, and had everything we needed. For breakfast, we were served different local delicacies each morning which were freshly prepared or cooked by Marco and his wife that same day. The property is situated in a lovely location along the lake with easy access to a nearby swimming pool as well as a small beach at the front of the property. A special note - Marco was kind enough to offer us a lift back to the train station in Lierna on the morning of our departure. An incredibly welcome gesture and greatly appreciated. We could not recommend this property - and more importantly, the hosts - enough. We would not hesitate to come back again next time we're visiting Lake Como thanks to their exceptional hospitality.

Absolutely out of this world stay with a beautiful genuine family. Marco and Chiara are one of the best hosts we have ever had and we travel often.. literally nothing is too much trouble for them. We felt like family. The attention to detail with the accommodation, breakfasts and candlelit dinners were immaculate. I totally recommend the tagliatelle with porcinni mushrooms which Marco collects himself from the beautiful mountains. Chiaras Tiramisu is also out of this world. Marco is great at suggesting iteniaries and speaks excellent English. Lierna is quiet peaceful with great access to the busier areas of Varenna Bellagio etc.. I strongly recommend anyone to stay with Marco and Chiara. We will return, without a shadow of a doubt and have made great friends with Marco. Thank you once again for helping us make great memories 🪻❤️

Location was calm and peaceful, 20 minutes by walk to train station, where you can enjoy beautiful views on the way. Marco is the best host ever, he gives a lots of helpful informations. Both him and Kiera are amazing people and they did make sure our stay was splendid. Breakfasts were delicious 😋 Everyday we had different meals with sweat & salty snack each day + eggs. The room was very clean with beautiful view. There is an option to book a dinner at their place and I would highly recommend this - the food was fresh, home made and the service is just outstanding 😍 Thank you Marco for our lovely stay and hopefully we will shall be back ☺️

Breakfast was freshly prepared each day, and there was always a good selection of eats allowing for any allergies. Good nutritious balance meals were eaten each day. Marco and Chiara the hosts were the perfect partnership for savouries and sweets. During our stay we had fantastic evening meals; again, everything was freshly sourced and produced to a very high standard. Marco was very knowledgeable about the area and offered great tips and advice which helped us plan our days of exploration of Lake Como and the Lombarda regions. His insights were priceless and he and his wife went the extra mile for us. Very warm and friendly hosts with cracking accommodation. Looking forward to a future visit to Foresteria Lombarda as there’s much more to see and do including hill walking and the many views of Lake Como.
