We had Balcony Lake apartment booked but due to a mix up on Booking.com we actually stayed in Welcome Home apartment in Lierna. We had such a lovely stay and genuinely didn’t want to leave. The apartment was spotless, comfortable and had everything we needed with lots of thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home rather than just somewhere to stay - toiletries in the bathroom, hairdryer and straighteners, store cupboard ingredients in the kitchen even laundry liquid. The location was great too, it’s peaceful and relaxing and a great base for exploring Lake Como and all the beautiful surrounding areas. As with many of the Lake Como villages, the area is quite hilly which adds to its charm and amazing views, although it’s worth bearing in mind that it may be less suitable for anyone with mobility difficulties.

Stunning views in a nice little town, not too touristy and well located. Very comfortable apartment with everything you need, and super friendly host! In short: we had an amazing stay and would certainly recommend the apartment to anyone planning to visit the area :)

“Perfect”

Everything about the apartment is perfect and beautiful. It’s in a quiet and quaint Lierna which is just 15 mins drive away from Varenna. The trail Sientero del Viandante is just behind the apartment. A few nice restaurants like Sottovento and il crotto are in Lierna. It was a great stay. The host, Debora, was very welcoming and responsive too!

The balcony is the main reason you should book this place, beautiful views, calm place away from main tourist places, the apartment has all the needed facilities for staying longer. The host was super lovely and helpful! Would love to come back!

Sitting on the very large balcony, looking down at the lake and in the dark viewing all the lights - it was just plainly gorgeous. You can take a walk down to the beach and have fine Italian food and coffee.. What else do we need?!!! Thank you so much dear Debora!!!

Location was nice and quiet, with great views. Nice overall location/town if you're wanting to relax and feel like a local. Walking distance to a few nice restaurants and cafes. Very nice host.

Host picked us up from the railway station and delivered us back in time for an early train. She was most helpful with recommendations. Lovely view from balcony and excellently equipped kitchen. 10 minutes walk to the village beach

Amazing views, amazing host and perfect location. Everything was in easy reach, to the train and ferries around Lake Como. You can walk to the local beach and swim in the lake. We didn't use our car for the 3 nights we were there. Everything you could want/need in the apartment, including shampoo etc. Also a few essentials such as milk and eggs and a very welcome bottle of bubbly. The balcony was stunning.

“The best place we've ever stayed.”

We spent a bit more than we usually do to stay here and we can say without a doubt that it was worth every single penny. The view was incredible, like living in a postcard. The whole place was spotlessly clean. The host was incredibly helpful. I can not recommend this place enough. It has definitely been the best place we have stayed in our entire lives and we mean that honestly.
