“Would highly recommend”
Location was great. Opposite the beach & plenty of restaurant options beachside & in the plaza just a few minutes walk from the hotel. Stefano at reception was very helpful & informative. Room was small but adequate & had a large waterview balcony. Room was very clean. Option to buy breakfast but we didn't use it. Approx 10 mins walk to the nearest metro station into Rome for Euro 1.50 each way. We paid Euro 13 each for the airport shuttle which came exactly at 6am as requested & took approx 25 mins to FCO airport & dropped us off at the correct terminal. Overall we would happily recommend a stay at Hotel La Scaletta.

Our 2nd of three stays in this wonderful little hotel. 24 hour receptionists who are very professional, helpful and speak excellent English. The rooms are modern, spotlessly clean and comfortable with generous toiletries provided. The breakfast is the best we have had in Italy with a wide selection of fresh sweet and savoury products. The train station is a 12 minute walk away and it costs €2 for a 30 minute trip into Rome. Street parking is free and we were lucky enough to get a space in front of the hotel.

“Hidden Gem”
Wonderful little hotel in Lido di Ostia. There are 24 hour receptionists who are very professional, helpful and speak excellent English.The rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable with generous toiletries provided. The train station is a 12 minute walk and it costs €2 for a 30 minute trip into Rome. There is street parking and we were lucky enough to get a space right outside. The breakfast is excellent with a wide selection of sweet and savoury products and very good coffee.
