It was close to Liberia. The owner was very personable. There was no coffee in the rooms, but when I asked about coffee he had his wife make us a coffee and it was fantastic. The staff was very friendly.

Hotel la arena was the perfect place for our final stay in Costa Rica. Raphael and his son Dwight were very friendly and made us feel very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool area in the beautiful garden. The room was exceptionally clean with comfortable beds. Dwight drove us to the airport and I left one of my suitcases in his car. He contacted me about the suitcase and was kind enough to turn around and bring my suitcase into the airport. I defend recommend this hotel.

“Everything was perfect and an amazing last day in Costa Rica.”
It was the perfect accommodation for the last night before the flight back home. Huge room, comfortable beds, good facilities, nice pool, big shower. Also Dwight was super friendly and even turned on the massage jets in the pool for us on the last day :)

Great family run motel. The father and son team went out of there way to be helpful, calling taxis for us and helping with all of our questions about area attractions etc. The property is beautiful, well maintained and very clean. 5 out of 5
