“quick, easy, comfortable”

Very close to the bus station, easy to walk around, free coffee and oats very nice lady who owns the place! I had been I’ll just before arriving and I was upgraded without asking! I remember also, years ago I came here, and the airport had lost my baggage and I arrived sweaty and she provided me with T-shirt to borrow without asking.

Nice spot with a very nice host and a beautiful kitchen. We used it as a stop over to go to Nicaragua but you can definitely spend some more days here as well.

Hostel Pura Vida is a great choice in Liberia, Costa Rica. The location is perfect, next to the bus terminal, with a supermarket and ATM just steps away, which makes everything very convenient for travelers. The owner is extremely thoughtful and always attentive, trying to provide everything you need for a comfortable and pleasant stay. The place is very neat and tidy, well organized, and clearly well cared for. The kitchen is well equipped and offers great facilities for travelers, making it easy to cook and feel at home. Highly recommended for anyone passing through Liberia or using it as a base to explore the region.

The owner is just so wonderful and friendly, always willing to help, she's amazing! I always get a very warm welcome every time I go there! Plus it's close to both bus terminals, super easy to travel to and from.. I definitely recommend this place!! :)

“Old guy traveling alone”

My stay was for a single night before journeying to Nicaragua the next day.

Everything was perfect the owner Graciela Dodero, was super nice and she was waiting for me so late , and she gave me a nice welcome ! I really appreciated it , and I slept like a baby, super comfortable and quiet bus station just one block from there, 🌞 Nice place !👋🏻 Thanks 🙏🏻🕊️🧘🏻

Great value for money. Location was central enough and the hostess was a lovely lady. Comfortable beds and fans were provided as it gets extremely hot here! Great to meet other people also

The hostel is close to the bus station which is good. My friend and I arrived and upgraded to a private room with aircon after seeing who we’d share the dorm with (and paid more for this of course). We were verbally told by the owner that we could check out at 11am. The sheets had some stains but not worth arguing. In the afternoon we were told off for running the aircon (that we paid for!!). In the morning we were abruptly woken up by reception and told to leave (time was 10:15), even after we said it was confirmed by the owner that we could check out at 11. Not great but fine for a night.

“You get what you pay for”

I needed a one night stay for transit to Nicaragua, location was close to shuttle pick up point although a bit dodgy. Close to shops and some fast food chains. Convenient, good wifi, air con, owner was really nice and let me check in earlier.

Good for a night stay before travelling to the border as there are not many hotel options in La Cruz. She gave me a private room and I was very happy with it

Abuela was super nice! Good place to stay for a day on transit. Not even 2 minutes walk to the bus station. Beds were encapsulated. AC in the room.

Great "cut through" Liberia hostel. Stay here frequently.
