“Disappointing in quite a few teas”
I have been reluctant to write a review of the apartment we had , for many reasons, as our experience seems at great odds with everyone else’s and I try to be objective and not destructive when I write reviews My husband and I are in our 70s, very frequent travellers, driving the world and always seeking new places to stay I always read the reviews objectively of each place I book, and was impressed with comments about Living room in Leuca , but it fell way short of all reviews in my opinion At no stage did we ever meet Giuseppe and Magna , nor were we left any provisions ( they may have been on holiday?) Reviews that state a short walk to town, could perhaps say if they mean walking ir driving…we enjoyed the walk but it took us 20mins + , enjoyable but we are fast walkers, others my take longer , Some review mention the sunset, yes impressive but the “ apartment “ is on a well known Point where many gather at sunset to watch the view ,pl and the takeaway van is the only thing close that sells food , although there re restaurants within walking distance , but to be fair it is not a quick trot into either towns Please look at the photos very carefully, there seem to me to be a number of apartments shown , confusing as not what I thought The Living room innLeuca is in fact simply a rooftop, yes it’s large but exposed when hot wonderful sea views, , it does have a roof on parts , but only the bedroom and bathroom ( good standard and air conditioning) are actually in a “room” , and a microwave the only cooking appliance The dining table and chairs, sofas(2) are outside and can be moved about , and the sink is outside too It was very hot while we were there so difficult to sit outside and only the bed to sit on, and in winter it would be the same I have tried to be very fair in my assessment , and wish we had met the owners( we were met in by a pleasant young woman and shown around and where to park, but our experience did not fit with previous reviews

“The best place to stay in Santa Maria di Leuca with the best hosts!”
During our Italy trip, this was the best accommodation that we stayed at. The room was super clean and everything was perfect including the location. Magda and Guiseppe were the greatest hosts that we could ask for and we're always ready to help us whenever we needed it. The both of them were so sweet and really made you feel like family. If you stay in Santa Maria di Leuca then this is the best place you could stay
