Like coming home, the lady of the house (sorry forgot her name) was amazing. She was extremely kind and helpful. She even allowed us free of charge to leave our stuff, shower, and just relax for a while after we came back from a 4 day tour. We also spotted some really cute monkeys twice just outside the house... Can only recommend

A truly beautiful and welcoming home stay. Maricela is such an attentive and friendly host that greeted us with open arms to her lovely home. The rooms were comfortable and the pool was just what we needed after a long flight. Mari is charismatic, funny, full of energy and advice and will be determined to make your time in the Amazon a memorable one. Her brother Elvis, who also greeted us when we arrived, runs an ecotourism operating agency called Wirapuru Bird Lodge and Food which runs Amazon tours. My partner and I went for a 3 day tour with Elvis which was the highlight of our travels around Colombia and Brazil. It was a truly unforgettable experience. Under Elvis’s care and guidance, we truly immersed ourselves in the Amazon and saw so much wild life. We also learnt so much, Elvis was an encyclopaedia of knowledge and is such a kind spirit who is passionate about the Amazon and conservation. He is also semi famous (lol) featuring as an Amazon guide on various TV documentaries and has published several books on Amazon conservation. I cannot recommend Mari and Elvis enough, they went above and beyond to make our time anamazing one and am already hoping to return. Thanks both!

Super sweet owner, she helped us a lot with our stay in Leticia, we had a great time thanks to her! She even went to get us with her car as we were stuck outside Leticia and stored our baggage while we were in the Amazonas. Property is very clean, nothing to complain. We happily went back for another night.

This is a wonderful homestay option, near the airport. We were collected from the airport and when we opted for hot chocolate rather than coffee, this was provided for breakfast. Very caring and hospitable.

The hosts are both friendly and helpful. Location was perfect for me as its a walking distance from the airport so it was very convenient since I had a late flight!

Amazing hosts, warm welcome, super comfortable rooms, quiet, great home made breakfast and a super chilling swim pool to cool off in the morning or night! We couldn't ask for more. We stayed there before and after coming back from a jungle trip and it just felt like coming back home. Highly recommended!

Best Place in Town

The host was super nice and helpful. She helped us organising a taxi and choosing a good restaurant. We got a small breakfast even though we left really early. The pool was clean and refreshing.

We had one night in Letizia before our tour and this was the perfect place to be. Maricela and Armando were wonderful hosts and we felt so welcome in their home. They put an extra single bed in the room so we could sleep four (2 adults, 2 small children). Our girls could use the pool and Maricela was so kind to keep our luggage and drop us back at the airport after our tour. The house is very close to the airport. You could walk there, it is just a bit hot in the day! You can also walk to town (about ten minutes) but there are also tuc tucs available. The room has very good air conditioning and a huge bathroom with shower and bathtub. We loved our stay and would recommend to anyone with a stopover in Leticia.

The hosts are great and super helpful. We were able to organise a tour through Marcella's brother Elvis. The hotel is super comfortable, small and personal.

Casa amazilia is the perfect stay for everyone arriving in Leticia. The airport is in walking distance but it is still very quiet in the area the house is located. The city is a 15 minute walk (or you can use a Tuktuk). The room was nice, comfortable and clean. There is also a nice pool outside to use since it’s very hot in Leticia. The best thing about Casa amazilia is the Maricela! She is so welcoming and tries everything to help you with planning your next steps. Even if you don’t speak Spanish she’s gonna manage to talk to you somehow (or make you try to speak Spanish, perfect if you want to improve your Spanish-skills haha). We loved our stay with Maricela and her family and would definitely recommend to come here ☺️

We felt extremely welcome and at home in Casa Amazilia. They helped out with everything: waited for us at the airport to arrange transport, brought us to the centre of town for dinner, arranged tuktuks and invited us for lunch. Quiet side of Leticia and close to the airport. Far beyond any expectation and the perfect place if you would like a more personal touch.
