Overview
La Gelinotte is a guesthouse situated 1.5 km from the centre of Les Contamines-Montjoie and Les Contamines Ski Resort. It offers free WiFi access, ski storage and rooms with mountain views. “Charming oasis”
I stopped here on stage 2 of TMB and really enjoyed my stay here. It was very scenic and located about a 15-minute walk from town. The views from my room were lovely. It was a great spot to rest after a day of walking.

“highly recommend”
all of the restaurants in Contamines-Montjoie were closed when we arrived there on Wednesday but we were able to get a delicious and very filling dinner at the hotel restaurant - only 22 euros for 3 courses, perfect for fuelling to continue the tour de Mont Blanc! there's also a table football table in a small communal area that we enjoyed using in the evening staff were helpful with local knowledge of the mountains and let us know about the snow we were going to come across the following day

Fantastic food and lovely staff. It's a little bit run-down but that does not bother me. For the price the food is exceptionally good: home cooking for dinner and an ample continental breakfast. Bravo!

A beautiful, relaxed family run hotel. The staff were extremely welcoming and could not do enough for you. Options for breakfast or evening meals, which were both homemade and delicious. A bar downstairs and chill out space upstairs with activities for little ones. The rooms were basic but full of character and very clean. Very reasonably priced, we would of loved to have been able to stay longer. Thank you!

* Excellent location right next to Tour de Mount Blanc trail. * I was able to do early check-in. * It was nice to have a private bathroom. * WiFi worked fine. * There was a table to work with my laptop.
