A true French fairytale

“Not your ordinary hotel - fabulous”

La Sentinelle is a lovely boutique hotel, with only a few rooms, giving it an exclusive feel. The village location is magical, if you enjoy historical surroundings and don’t mind a bit of an uphill walk! The building is tastefully decorated with eclectic furniture, antiques and art. We appreciated the healthy and delicious breakfast in the pretty garden and the friendly service of the very hospitable owner, who chatted to us about the history of the village and renovation of the property. Late check-in was easily accommodated.

An elegant room and a pretty setting. La Sentinelle is right in the centre of the medieval old town. It’s about a ten minute walk down a steep hill to the newer part of town where all the restaurants are sited.

Very tasteful decor, delicious breakfast clearly made with love. There are not many B&Bs as authentic as this left. Also the village is very charming and lovely to wander around.

It was tastefully decorated and very comfortable within a medieval setting. The property was an original conversion of an old Sentinel Tower. The hosts were welcoming, the terraces and breakfast areas were beautifully landscaped with gorgeous crockery on little tables looking out to a Vieux chateau.

Outstanding property in the exceptionally beautiful village! We felt like in a fairytale!! Simon is an amazing host: incredibly kind and friendly! Breakfast served at the terrace was superb: freshly baked croissants, delicious yogurt with fresh fruit, very good coffee (I was surprised as from my experience it’s pretty difficult to find a decent coffee in France). Dog-friendly (10 euros). We enjoyed our stay very much!!

The room was cosy and beautiful, the breakfast was delicious and accompanied by some wonderful atmosphere, created by this amazing host. The location is very convenient if you aim to explore the area and the village itself is one of the most scenic. Loved it!

What a magical experience! La Sentinelle towers on the whimsical village of Les Arcs sur Argens. Spending the night in the charming building lights up the imagination and evoke past times and tales. The rooms are charming and comfortable, costellated by interesting books about arts and travels. And the breakfast!!! Ohh the breakfast. So exquisite one wish to start every morning like this: the beautiful courtyard painted in the predominantely colors of red and green, the excellent food, prepared with again - so much attention to details. And everything served on delicious porcelain dishware. What a delight. Also the owner is really caring and discreet, qualities that one must really appreciate on an host. Thank you so much for this marvelous experience. A real arcadia.
