“Relaxing days in Avignon”

We had planned our stay in Avignon already several months ago and were looking for a quiet place after long days of sightseeing and activity and found Maison du Lac. It is a great place to stay. The appartment are very well planned and equipped. You have a kitchen/living room area that you can simply open to the terasse and voila, you are surrounded by green, water lily and Koi fishs. I did not mention the pool yet, the cherry on the cake, a wonderful relaxing refreshment after hot long days outside or in town! Peter, the owner, is very helpful and discreet at the same time.

Just excellent. The apartment overlooks a beautiful lake and it is very peaceful. Ideal location for a family with young children. Easy enough to get into Avignon and Villeneuve.

We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Maison du Lac. Everything was perfect for us. The apartment was very comfortable and well equipped, and we loved feeding the Koi Carp from the veranda. Everything about Maison du Lac has been very carefully designed, including the: apartment layouts that ensure they keep cool without air conditioning (although this was available if wanted); stylish large fishpond (visits from a kingfisher were an added bonus!); lovely swimming pool that is long enough for a good swim; and the beautiful grounds. Our host, Peter, was very friendly and helpful. We travelled to Avignon by train from the NW of the UK and did not hire a car. We walked a lot from Hotel du Lac along peaceful roads to supermarkets etc. and caught the bus into Avignon several times. We also went on a minibus tour of Luberon villages which was an excellent way to see the area without a car. Overall, an excellent holiday in excellent accommodation. We would definitely stay again and strongly recommend Hotel du Lac to anyone looking for peaceful, relaxed accommodation in the Avignon area.

Clean, comfortable, calm and smartly designed with an eye for little details. Kitchen is well equipped, pool is refreshing and the owner is helpful with knowledge of the area.

Simply superb. Fantastic appartment with everything you could possibly need and all spotlessly clean. Set within a stunning and immaculate garden with a wonderful lakeside balcony from which we all enjoyed feeding the Koi carp. The amazing secluded swimming pool with loungers provided an additional place to relax - a real asset. Peter was a great host, so welcoming, really informative and took time to settle us in. My family thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing stay. Great location for visiting Ville Neuve,  Avignon and beyond. A real gem, I highly recommend this establishment and will undoubtedly stay here again with my family.

“Beautiful!!”

Loved Maison du Lac! It has such a serene setting, you feel calm with the water sound from the lake. We stayed at the ground floor 2 bedroom flat. Our terrace was very large and felt like part of the house. I was looking forward to waking up every morning and having my coffee in the terrace with the beautiful lake view. We cooked in the kitchen for 4/ 5 nights we stayed; every utensil, salt & pepper provided. No problems at all, and again what a pleasure to eat with that view! Very close to Avignon; comfortable 30/35 min walk. Gardens are impeccably maintained, very much loved and cared for. There is a lovely wooden house for kids to play and a pair of swings. Swimming pool is also very nice!! Really looking forward to going back again for another relaxing holiday. Thank you so much Peter!

“A piece of heaven!”

We are a family of 2 x adults and a 13-year-old daughter. We chose this location due to its beauty and close proximity to motorway links and amenities. Firstly, the apartment is stunning. Beautiful and quiet, fully equipped kitchen, modern and clean. Same with the large shower and bathroom. There is plenty of draw and hanging space. It was a home away from home! The location is perfect. A bakery and supermarket a short drive away, Avingon is minutes away and with local villages all around. We kept ourselves very busy! We hired canoes, and had a day on the river with a picnic, travelled to the coast for beach days, experienced a sunset riverboat cruise, enjoyed a morning at the waterpark and had lazy days by the exceptional pool. Peter, the host, and his family are so easy to deal with, very attentive. They offered so much information and help. I am already re-booking this gem of a place.

Peter the host and his wife were absolutely incredible. From the moment the booking was made to the day we left. The attentiveness and his knowledge about local attractions and restaurant was warmly welcomed. He even went as far as providing maps with recommendations about our surrounding area. We had an amazing stay at Maison du Lac and will definitely stay here again. Bonus - the pool was a welcome reprieve from the long hot days :-)

Peter is an experienced, detail-oriented host who takes excellent care of both the property and his guests. He’s also very friendly and happy to share thoughtful recommendations.

Our stay at Maison du Lac exceeded all expectations. The apartment is beautifully and stylishly designed, impeccably clean, and incredibly well thought out – everything you might need is provided. The garden deserves a special mention: it's probably the most beautiful garden we've ever seen at a hotel or holiday rental. Although we didn’t use the pool due to the cool weather, it looked very inviting. The host, Peter, was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The only minor downside was that the Wi-Fi wasn't very fast or strong – but unless you absolutely need a high-speed internet connection, it's not a problem. All in all, a fantastic place to stay!

Swimming pool, koi fishes in the pond, area, the city, and the most , Peter as a natural born host who cares about you and makes your stay unforgettable. The evenings were very nice and breakfasts with the view on the lake will always stay in our memory. Totally recommend this apartment it has all needed appliances and stuff needed for longer stays.
