“Would stop again”
Clean, comfortable and quirky. Booked last minute on return journey to Santander. Lovely little hotel in a beautiful town with friendly staff.

The breakfast service left much to be desired. There were three of us, and the breakfast they served wasn't enough for one person... we left hungry and had received poor service at breakfast.

“Spotlessly Clean - as always”
Hostal Docar is always spotlessly clean, well run by the caring owners and staff, and is well positioned for Lerma itself and for onward journeys to/from ferry ports. An excellent breakfast is available. We have used this hostal for many years. The owners have become good friends, it is an excellent place to stay and have no hesitation in recommending it.

“Great location, friendly staff, clean rooms”
Great location next to the ancient town. Very clean comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast included and they even allowed us to take our well behaved dog in to a table in the corner they allocated for us. Parking right outside.

“Perfect location and a lovely clean quiet hotel”
The hotel was in a perfect location less than a minute from the motorway and parking was easy, check in was pleasant the receptionist spoke English she was very helpful actually taking us to our room and making sure we were happy before she left. The hotel is 2 hours from bilbao port making it perfect for brittany ferries, we shall use this hotel every time when in the area.

A lovely family run budget hotel in the heart of town. The room was lovely, the beds are comfortable with a nice en-suite. The room had central heating and was lovely and warm. It was very good value. Highly recommend.
