Overview
Boutique Hotel Huys van Leyden is an intimate boutique hotel set in the historic centre of Leiden, right next to the Oude Singel canal. This heritage-listed property dating from 1611 includes many original features and offers its own (limited) private parking. Boutique Hotel Huys van Leyden offers hotel rooms as well as several apartments. All the rooms are unique in layout and furnishings. The wooden-floored rooms are decorated with bright colours and have box-spring beds. They have a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a tea/coffee maker and a minibar. The rooms and apartments can only be reached by stairs. There is no lift! In addition to the à la carte and buffet breakfast, guests can also enjoy dinner, afternoon tea or a private boat trip on the canals. These services can only be booked at the hotel. The Pieterskerk is just 900 metres on foot. Leiden’s central train station is 1.2 km away. The old town with its museums and the Castle ‘de Burcht’ are a 7-minute walk away.

“A lovely relaxing stay in Leiden - the hotel and its friendly staff were all part off this.”
The room was great - spacious, clean, and we really liked the decor. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning was quiet and effective. It was nice to have a view of the canal from the windows. The location was ideal for walking into the main historical area, and there were lots of restaurants, cafes, and bars to choose from.

Very nice boutique hotel, every room has a different design. Very comfortable bed. Very quiet, clean. We had a great night sleep after biking the area.

“This is, hands down, the best place we’ve ever stayed in the Netherlands.”
The staff are fantastic! - Friendly, patient, helpful, multilingual and really hospitable. The facilities are comfortable and clean, and the historical building well appointed and in great condition. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

Dog friendly and beautifully decorated with well thought out style. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable and located in the heart of town. The receptionists are friendly, thoughtful and very professional.
